Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The Astronergy ASTRO N7 Pro CHSM66RN(DG)/F-BQ series is a new generation of bifacial modules designed for investors who want maximum energy yield from limited roof or ground space. The panel uses next-generation N-Type TOPCon cells, which thanks to improved surface passivation and higher light-capturing capability reduce power degradation and improve long-term generation stability. The quarter-cut cell design lowers internal current, reducing the risk of hot spots and increasing the module's resistance to microcracks and mechanical stress. The bifacial glass-glass construction allows the module to capture light reflected from the ground, meaningfully increasing total energy yield without expanding the installation footprint, which in turn lowers the project's LCOE. In addition, densely packed, low-stress cell interconnections increase the module's effective active area. A sealed IP68-rated junction box provides durable protection against moisture and contamination even in harsh operating conditions. This solution is aimed at installers and investors in solar farms and large commercial installations who need high reliability, long-term performance, and a competitive cost of generated energy.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Commercial and utility-scale.
Top 1% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 511th in the whole database.
Top 1% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 22.80%. Ranked 351st in the whole database.
Top 1% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 227.7. Ranked 356th in the whole database.
Efficiency of 23.9-24.8% is roughly 3 percentage points higher than comparable 670 Wp competitor modules (Hiwatt HW-M12/132H 21.6%, Techwise Summit 21.57%, Resun RS9H-M 21.57%), translating into approximately 13-15% higher energy yield from the same roof or ground area.
Per the datasheet, the power temperature coefficient is -0.26%/°C, better than the typical -0.35 to -0.40%/°C of older PERC cells, resulting in a smaller power drop on hot days and higher annual yield in warmer climates.
The manufacturer guarantees 88.85% of nominal power after 30 years (99% after the first year), a premium standard for N-type TOPCon technology that supports lower LCOE over the investment's long-term horizon.
Astronergy has approximately 56 GW of annual manufacturing capacity and appears in the BloombergNEF Tier 1 ranking for Q2 2026 as the second-largest manufacturer after Canadian Solar, confirming the series' bankability for project financing.
Dual 2 mm glass and quarter-cut cells (264 segments) reduce internal current, lowering the risk of hot spots and microcracks, while capturing reflected light from the ground surface to boost total energy yield.
Dimensions of 2382x1134 mm and a weight of 32 kg (glass-glass) may require reinforced mounting structures and two-person installation, a typical constraint for large-format panels above 645 Wp that can raise logistics and installation costs versus smaller modules.
Launched in 2026, the series lacks the multi-year field performance data available for established ASTRO N7 series (2023-2025), which may matter to investors evaluating long-term operational risk in project due diligence.
- 23.9% module efficiency - 1.1pp better than the TOPCon 600-650W median of 22.8%
- 238.8 W/m² power density - 11.1 W/m² more than TOPCon 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.26%/°C (vs median -0.29%/°C), loses ~1% less power in hot conditions
- 85% bifaciality enables rear-side power generation, boosting yield by 4-13% on reflective surfaces
- Ranked #351 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Astronergy in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 645 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
