How we handle a notice

We read specs from datasheets, and prices and photos from public shop pages. We keep a copy of a photo on our own servers so a listing does not load from dozens of third-party hosts, and we show the price the shop printed, on the shop's own VAT side.

None of that is a claim to own your work, and none of it is meant to mislead anyone. If something here is wrong or should not be public, one email is enough.

For a formal copyright notice, the DMCA shape works best: what is yours, the URL here, how to reach you, and a line saying you are acting in good faith and the details are accurate. We act on those wherever you are.

What to include
  • The URL on ComparePV: the panel, the offer, or the image.
  • What should happen: a fix, a removal, or a note added.
  • Who you are, and the right you are asserting if it is copyright.

No fee and no form. We do not charge to correct or remove something, and there is no account to create. Email is the whole process.

Questions

Before you write
Is ComparePV affiliated with any manufacturer or shop?
No. We are independent, we do not sell panels, and nobody can pay for a ranking. Every figure is computed from published datasheets.
How do I get a product photo removed?
Send us the URL here and say whether you want it removed or replaced. We stop serving our copy. The link to the shop's own page, and the offer itself, stay.
A price or a spec is wrong.
Prices are read on a schedule, so one can lag a change or a sale. Specs come from the manufacturer's datasheet. Send the panel, and the shop for a price, and we will re-read the source.
ComparePVBot hit my site. How do I stop it?
The crawler page has its exact User-agent string and the robots.txt group that blocks it. A block takes effect within 24 hours, and the same page explains the lines that do not work.
Do you accept DMCA notices by email?
Yes. Email is the only channel, so there is no portal to sign up for. Include the URL, what you want done, how to reach you, and a good-faith statement that the details are accurate.
