Which panels fit your roof best?
The page opens on a worked example: one face of a pitched roof, 9 by 5 metres. Every module size in our catalogue is laid out on it, and the list ranks them by how much power fits. Enter your roof and the ranking follows.
What fits

| # | Module | Fits | kWp | W/m² | Price |

The best ten of the 417 module sizes in our catalogue, one module per size: the most powerful. Price is the cheapest live shop offer per kWp, as the shop prints it. 15 catalogue modules give no dimensions and are left out.

Questions
It is how much rated power fits on your roof: the number of modules that fit, times each module's power on its datasheet.
A larger module does not always win. The roof's edges cut off whatever does not fit whole, so a smaller module that fills the last gap can put more watts on the same roof.
Real output depends on where you live: multiply by your yield in kWh per kWp, which PVGIS gives for your address.
Every module of the same size fits the same number of times, so the most powerful one of that size always puts the most kWp on your roof.
The list shows that one and links to its page, where the rest of its series is a click away. Modules whose datasheet gives no dimensions cannot be placed, and the note under the list says how many were left out.
It treats the roof as a clean rectangle: no chimneys, windows or vents, no shading, and one orientation for the whole array.
Fire setbacks count only as the edge margin you enter, and it does not check that the roof can carry the weight or the wind and snow load. An installer's layout replaces it; use it to know which modules are worth asking about.
