Solid all-round for its segment
Astronergy ASTRO N7 Bifacial series is designed to maximize energy gains in real-world operating conditions - even when the weather and light angle are not ideal. Its key advantage lies in the combination of n-type TOPCon cells with a bifacial structure, enabling the module to effectively capture energy from the rear side as well, for instance, on a bright surface, flat roofs, or ground installations. The application of SMBB (multi-string) architecture improves current collection and increases resistance to microcracks, translating into more stable long-term performance. In practice, this series also stands out for its excellent performance under low-light conditions - during overcast weather, fog, or smog. Additional support is provided by the Light Redirecting Film and double-coated glass, which enhance "light capture" and laminate durability. ASTRO N7 Bifacial is a suitable choice for utility-scale PV farms, C&I projects, and investments where lower system costs and predictable energy yield over the years are key.

The 22.8–23% efficiency range positions the series on par with direct competitors (HT-SAAE HT66-18X at 23%, Weran Solar LR7-72HTH at 23%), meaning Astronergy concedes no percentage points in conversion efficiency against the lowest-cost alternatives in the 615–620 Wp power class.
The official datasheet (600–620 W, February 2024) confirms first-year degradation of ≤1.0% and ≤0.4% for years 2–30. Assuming 0.4%/year, the module retains >87% of rated power after 30 years — one of the stronger long-term performance figures in the 66-cell TOPCon segment.
The dual-glass bifacial construction enables real-world rear-side energy gains of up to 25% under high-albedo ground conditions (light gravel, TPO membrane, snow). In ground-mount and flat-roof installations, this translates into a measurably lower LCOE without increasing module count.
The Super Multi-Busbar (SMBB) architecture shortens the current path between cells, minimizing resistive losses and the risk of micro-crack propagation. The Light Redirecting Film directs diffuse irradiance onto the cells — a benefit especially visible under overcast skies and at low sun angles, conditions under which PERC installations lose proportionally more power.
Astronergy (CHINT) is listed on the BloombergNEF Tier 1 roster, confirming project finance bankability without additional lender requirements for manufacturer guarantees. Annual manufacturing capacity of 56 GW eliminates supply-chain disruption risk for multi-megawatt procurement contracts.
The product warranty (materials and workmanship) covers 15 years, whereas several Tier 1 manufacturers in the same power class — including LONGi and JA Solar in their premium lines — offer 25-year product warranties. For C&I projects with a financing horizon of 20+ years, this gap may require additional insurance coverage or an explicit risk buffer in the financial model.
- Efficiency of 22.8% matches the TOPCon 600-650W median
- At 227.7 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 600-650W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 600-650W median
- At 31.6 kg, this panel is 1.1 kg lighter than TOPCon 600-650W median (32.7 kg) - easier handling during installation
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
