Light for its output, no clear weak spot
The Astronergy CHSM66RN(DG)/F-BH Bifacial (ASTRO N7 2.0) series was designed to maximize energy yield not only from the front but also the rear side of the module. This bifacial dual-glass solution better withstands external conditions and operates stably in projects where longevity and predictable production are key.
A key advantage of this series is the use of n-type TOPCon cells and ZBB (busbarless) technology, which minimizes shading losses from metalized busbars and improves current collection. In practice, this means better performance in real installation conditions and higher yield for the same construction surface. Additionally, solutions related to the protection of the edges of the cells support reliability and help minimize losses resulting from micro-cracks.
For investors, a significant benefit is the low Voc, which facilitates string design and may reduce BOS costs. This series will perform well in PV farms, C&I projects, ground-mounted and rooftop installations, especially where light reflection from the ground can be utilized.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale and hot-climate.
Top 11% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 53.2.
Top 16% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 22.40%.
Top 18% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 223.7.
Peak efficiency of 24.1% places this series on par with the Jinko Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDX (24.06%) and significantly ahead of the BYD AURO N (23.25%) and Einnova TOPCon (23.25%). For an identical mounting footprint, the module delivers measurably more energy than 90% of competing products in the 625–650 W power class.
ZBB technology eliminates resistive losses from busbar metallization, and combined with low-temperature cell interconnection, provides 25% greater resistance to micro-cracks compared to conventional busbar modules. Annual degradation (years 2–30) is ≤0.4%, resulting in more stable energy output throughout the system's full operational lifetime.
Astronergy provides a 15-year product warranty, while the Jinko Tiger Neo in the same power class offers only 12 years. The 30-year linear power warranty guaranteeing ≥87.4% of rated output represents a premium standard, backed by independent international insurance coverage.
The -0.29%/°C temperature coefficient is better than the typical -0.30% to -0.35% seen in legacy PERC technology and most competitors in the 650 W class. In the Polish climate, where summer module temperatures regularly exceed 60°C, a difference of 0.01–0.06%/°C translates to tens of additional kWh per year per string.
Astronergy ranks in the Top 6 of BloombergNEF's global bankability index (2023 report), with a manufacturing capacity of 56 GW/year. Tier-1 status streamlines project financing and satisfies the due diligence requirements of lenders funding utility-scale PV plants and C&I installations.
- At 24.1% efficiency, this panel is 1.7pp above typical TOPCon 650-700W modules (median: 22.4%)
- At 240.6 W/m² power density, this panel generates 16.9 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 650-700W median (223.7 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 650-700W median
- Weight of 31.6 kg (3.0 kg below TOPCon 650-700W median of 34.6 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
