The Weran Solar HPBC 2.0 WR7-72HVD series are modules designed for large-scale installations where high energy yield per square meter and real cost savings in construction and cabling are crucial. The use of back contact (BC) technology means that connections are moved to the back of the module - this allows the panel to better utilize sunlight and reduces losses due to shading from mounting structures. In practice, this translates to more stable energy production in Polish conditions, even in poor weather and with lower solar irradiance.

These are bifacial modules, meaning they can also utilize reflected light from the ground - this is particularly beneficial on PV farms, roofs with light-colored membranes, and ground-mounted installations in industrial areas. The series also features high durability and reliability in demanding scenarios, such as on heated roof surfaces of warehouses.

The WR7-72HVD would be a good choice for investors, EPC companies, and businesses that want to maximize yield and reduce LCOE without compromising on durability.

Common questions

6 answered
How does HPBC 2.0 technology in the WR7-72HVD panels differ from standard modules with front-side busbars?
With HPBC (back contact) technology, all electrical connections of the cell are moved to the rear of the panel. This means the front surface has no visible busbars, which in classic modules shade part of the cell area and reduce yield. In practice, this results in better use of incoming light and higher conversion efficiency, especially at low sun angles, such as early morning or winter.
Do bifacial WR7-72HVD panels require special installation to reach their full potential?
To let bifacial modules generate real extra energy from the rear side, they should ideally be mounted on racking with a gap above the ground, over light-colored or reflective surfaces such as white gravel, a roofing membrane, or grass. On PV farms and industrial roofs with light-colored covering, the bifacial gain is often most noticeable. Standard mounting still works, but without a reflective surface, rear-side yield will be minimal.
What warranty comes with Weran Solar HPBC 2.0 WR7-72HVD panels?
The series is covered by a 15-year product warranty against material and workmanship defects, plus a 30-year linear power warranty guaranteeing a high percentage of nominal output after three decades of operation. This matches the standard offered by leading premium panel manufacturers and is an important factor when calculating long-term investment payback.
Are WR7-72HVD 640~665M panels suited for large ground-mount installations or PV farms, or mainly for residential roofs?
This series is designed primarily for large-scale installations - PV farms, industrial sites, and commercial projects - where maximizing yield per area and lowering BoS costs (racking and cabling) per watt matter most. A single module's high power output, up to 665 Wp, means fewer panels are needed for a given system capacity, which meaningfully speeds up installation on large roof and ground-mount areas.
Do HPBC 2.0 WR7-72HVD panels perform well on hot industrial rooftops?
Yes, the series is engineered to handle demanding thermal conditions typical of large industrial roofs that heat up on sunny days. The back-contact cell design and material quality provide stable energy production and mechanical durability even at elevated operating temperatures, resulting in lower power losses compared to many classic modules under the same conditions.
Is Weran Solar a Tier 1 manufacturer, and does that matter when choosing WR7-72HVD panels?
Weran Solar is not currently listed as a Tier 1 manufacturer under the Bloomberg NEF classification, which may matter to institutional investors and banks financing large projects when assessing risk. For private investments and smaller commercial projects, Tier 1 status is less practically relevant - what matters most is the module's technical parameters, warranty terms, and overall build quality and service support.
