Efficiency leader, no clear weak spot
The Weran Solar HPBC 2.0 WR7-72HVD series are modules designed for large-scale installations where high energy yield per square meter and real cost savings in construction and cabling are crucial. The use of back contact (BC) technology means that connections are moved to the back of the module - this allows the panel to better utilize sunlight and reduces losses due to shading from mounting structures. In practice, this translates to more stable energy production in Polish conditions, even in poor weather and with lower solar irradiance.
These are bifacial modules, meaning they can also utilize reflected light from the ground - this is particularly beneficial on PV farms, roofs with light-colored membranes, and ground-mounted installations in industrial areas. The series also features high durability and reliability in demanding scenarios, such as on heated roof surfaces of warehouses.
The WR7-72HVD would be a good choice for investors, EPC companies, and businesses that want to maximize yield and reduce LCOE without compromising on durability.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Utility-scale and commercial.
Top 3% of the 550-750 W band, against a median of 22.50%. Ranked 219th in the whole database.
Top 3% of the 550-750 W band, against a median of 224.5. Ranked 233rd in the whole database.
Top 8% of the 550-750 W band, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 511th in the whole database.
- 24.1% module efficiency - 2.3pp better than the database median of 21.8%
- At 240.6 W/m² power density, this panel generates 22.5 W/m² more per unit area than database median (218.1 W/m²)
- -0.26%/°C temperature coefficient (median: -0.30%/°C) - retains ~2% more power at high temperatures
- Weight of 33.5 kg is 7.0 kg above database median (26.5 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifaciality factor of 70% can add 4-10% extra yield with reflective mounting surface

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Weran Solar in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 650 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
Model: bifaciality × albedo × 0.6 view factor. A first-order estimate, not a yield simulation.
