Light for its output, no clear weak spot
The Longi Solar Hi-MO X10 Guardian (Anti-Glare) LR7-72HVH 640-670M series was designed with installations in mind where not only energy yield matters, but also the surrounding environment. Its key advantage is the advanced anti-glare glass with a special textured structure - it reduces annoying reflections, making it ideal in glare-sensitive locations, such as near residential buildings, roads, or infrastructure sites.
What sets this series apart from many panels with anti-reflective coatings is its focus on longevity: integral embossing and a coating-free construction help maintain the anti-glare effect over the long term and minimize the risk of performance degradation due to the aging of the top layer. Additionally, the applied BC (back contact) technology supports high efficiency with an elegant front appearance, which appeals to premium investors. In practice, this delivers uncompromised performance - reduced reflections without typical light absorption loss - and a series designed for projects where aesthetic and environmental requirements are just as important as energy production.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Utility-scale, commercial, shaded-installations and hot-climate.
Top 3% of the N-type 650-700 W segment, against a median of 50.9. Ranked 244th in the whole database.
Top 8% of the N-type 650-700 W segment, against a median of 233.2. Ranked 42nd in the whole database.
Top 9% of the N-type 650-700 W segment, against a median of 23.30%. Ranked 51st in the whole database.
Built on N-type HPBC 2.0 (back contact) cells, the module reaches up to 24.8% efficiency and 670 W, roughly 3.2 pp higher than comparable models Hiwatt HW-M12/132H, Techwise Summit, and Resun RS9H-M (~21.6%). This delivers real extra yield from the same roof area.
The -0.26%/°C rating is notably better than the typical -0.34 to -0.35%/°C seen in standard PERC/TOPCon modules, translating to a smaller power drop under high roof operating temperatures.
The anti-glare effect is achieved through integral glass embossing rather than an added coating prone to UV degradation and abrasion, reducing the risk of the anti-reflective properties fading over the module's lifetime.
The manufacturer offers a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty (99% in year 1, approx. 88.85% in year 30), exceeding the industry-standard 12/25 years and lowering degradation risk for investors.
Longi Solar, founded in 2000, is a global market leader in PV modules and recognized as Tier-1 bankable, easing project financing and reducing insurance requirements compared to less established peer brands.
The series is monofacial (is_bifacial: false), so it cannot capture the additional yield from reflected light off the ground - a notable limitation for ground-mount projects on high-albedo surfaces, where bifacial modules could add several extra percentage points of energy.
Back contact modules remain roughly 15-30% more expensive than comparable TOPCon modules (2025 market data), which can lengthen payback periods compared with cheaper Tier-1 series.
The back contact cell architecture makes field repairs and diagnostics more challenging than with standard PERC/TOPCon modules, a factor worth considering for long-term service and spare-parts availability.
- 24.6% module efficiency - 1.3pp better than the N-type 650-700W median of 23.3%
- 246.2 W/m² power density - 13.0 W/m² more than N-type 650-700W median (233.2 W/m²), more power per roof area
- Temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C vs median -0.29%/°C means ~1% less power loss at 65°C
- 28.5 kg weight - 5.0 kg lighter than N-type 650-700W median (33.5 kg), reducing installation effort
- #51 for efficiency, #511 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
