Space saver, no clear weak spot
Tiger Neo is a flagship photovoltaic module lineup built on N-Type TOPCon cells, which replace the older PERC technology and meaningfully reduce power degradation over time. The series was designed for investors who expect not just high energy yield, but predictable, stable system performance over decades, regardless of weather conditions. Using N-type cells instead of conventional P-type translates into low power degradation starting from the very first year of operation, along with reduced sensitivity to microcracks and the PID effect, directly lowering the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) over the system's lifetime. The panels are available in a bifacial configuration, allowing them to capture light reflected off the ground and increase total energy yield without requiring additional roof space. A reinforced frame and tempered glass provide high mechanical durability against snow and wind loads, while a low temperature coefficient keeps the modules performing well even on hot summer days. Tiger Neo is built for residential, commercial, and utility-scale installations where long-term profitability matters more than a single nameplate power figure.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and utility-scale.
Top 4% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 227.7. Ranked 521st in the whole database.
Top 5% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 22.80%. Ranked 580th in the whole database.
Top 22% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 53.1.
The manufacturer guarantees ≤1% power loss in year one and a max. 0.4% annual linear degradation for years 2-30, matching the current benchmark for high-quality N-type cells and clearly outperforming typical PERC modules, which suffer 2-3% first-year LID degradation.
Peak efficiency of 24.06% exceeds comparable 735 Wp TOPCon modules from Suntech (Ultra T 2.0, 23.7%), Resun Solar (RS9H-M, 23.66%), and Astronergy (ASTRO N8, 23.7%), yielding more energy from the same roof footprint.
The linear power warranty guarantees a minimum of 87.4% of rated output after 30 years - longer than the standard 25-year power warranty offered by most PERC and many TOPCon competitors.
A temperature coefficient of around -0.29%/°C (versus a typical -0.34%/°C for PERC) delivers a 2-3% higher energy yield in hot climates, relevant for installations facing peak summer conditions.
The bifacial variant increases energy yield without a larger roof footprint, and JinkoSolar has maintained BNEF Tier-1 status for consecutive quarters, easing project financing through banks and lease providers.
The 12-year product warranty is notably shorter than offerings from some Tier-1 competitors, e.g. Qcells (25 years) or Trina's Vertex S+ (25 years), which can be a meaningful factor when comparing total service-risk cost.
Jinko has already released newer generations - Tiger Neo 3.0 and Tiger Neo 5.0, featuring 700W+ modules with up to 25.91% efficiency - meaning this series (605-735 Wp, up to 24.06%) now trails the manufacturer's own latest offerings in efficiency and unit power.
- 23.7% module efficiency - 0.9pp better than the TOPCon 600-650W median of 22.8%
- At 236.9 W/m² power density, this panel generates 9.2 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²)
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 600-650W panels
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
- #580 for efficiency, #2165 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
