Space saver, heavy for its output
Jinko Solar’s Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDX series are bifacial dual-glass modules designed to maximize energy output where every square meter counts. Thanks to N-type TOPCon cell technology, the modules deliver high performance even in less-than-ideal conditions-high temperatures, transient periods, and partial shading. The bifacial dual-glass construction harnesses reflected light from the ground, effectively boosting energy production in ground-mounted installations, on light-colored rooftops, and in elevated structures.
This solution is ideal for investors seeking long-term risk mitigation: the dual-glass design enhances environmental resilience and resistance to micro-cracks, while anti-PID protection maintains stable performance over time. Furthermore, the use of SMBB wiring improves current collection and tolerance to partial shading.
The Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDX is well-suited for utility-scale PV farms, C&I projects, and any application prioritizing high power density and decades of reliable performance.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale, shaded-installations and hot-climate.
Weight-limited structures.
Top 20% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 223.7.
Top 23% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 22.40%.
Bottom 1% of the TOPCon 650-700 W segment, against a median of 53.1. Ranked 12,337th in the whole database.
The module delivers 24.06% efficiency - a 0.76-0.81 percentage-point advantage over comparable bifacial TOPCon modules at the same power class: Astronergy ASTRO N5 (23.3%), BYD AURO N (23.25%), and Einnova TOPCon 650W (23.25%). On a 1 MWp installation this translates to measurably higher energy output without adding panels or racking.
Jinko guarantees annual degradation ≤0.4% (years 2-30) and ≥87.4% of nameplate power after 30 years. Most comparable Tier-1 brands offer 25-year linear warranties with an end-of-life floor of 84.8%, while standard PERC degrades at ~0.55%/year. The cumulative yield difference over 30 years can amount to several MWh per MWp installed.
The temperature coefficient is -0.29%/°C versus a typical -0.35%/°C for PERC modules. At a cell operating temperature of 65°C (Δ=40°C from STC), power loss is 11.6% compared to 14.0% for PERC - roughly 2.4% more output during peak summer irradiance, material for utility-scale plants in Southern Europe and hot climates.
In 2025, 100% of respondents in the Bloomberg NEF PV Module Bankability Survey rated JinkoSolar as bankable - the only manufacturer to achieve a perfect score. A decade of #1 bankability rankings reduces lender risk perception, simplifies project finance underwriting, and broadens the pool of institutional investors for utility-scale and C&I projects.
An ~85% bifaciality ratio combined with a glass-glass laminate delivers 5-25% additional energy gain from reflected irradiance in ground-mount (fixed-tilt and tracker), bright industrial rooftop, and elevated-structure applications. Dual glass eliminates EVA yellowing, improves microfracture resistance, and supports the ≤0.4%/year degradation guarantee throughout the full 30-year warranty period.
The dual-glass construction (2×2 mm glass, 2382×1134×30 mm footprint) results in ~32.4 kg per module, approximately 5-7 kg heavier than framed monofacial modules of equivalent wattage (~25-27 kg). Installation requires a minimum two-person crew and a structural roof-load assessment, increasing labor and logistics costs for residential and small C&I rooftop projects.
The Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 (mass production from 2024) offers 670 Wp at 24.8% efficiency and an improved temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, outperforming this series (650 Wp / 24.06% / -0.29%/°C) in the premium segment. Buyers should verify current availability and pricing of Tiger Neo 3.0 before committing to the 66HL4M-BDX for new projects.
- Efficiency of 24.1% is 1.7pp above the TOPCon 650-700W median (22.4%)
- At 240.6 W/m² power density, this panel generates 16.9 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 650-700W median (223.7 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 650-700W median
- At 38.8 kg, this panel is 4.2 kg heavier than the TOPCon 650-700W median (34.6 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
