Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Isola New Energy 210M HALF CELL Bifacial Topcon Technology series is an advanced solution based on N-type cells that redefines performance standards in the Polish renewable energy sector. The use of large 210 mm silicon wafers combined with half-cut cell architecture allows for a significant reduction in resistance losses and better performance in demanding partial shading conditions. A key advantage of these modules is bifacial technology, which enables the generation of additional energy from the back side of the panel, resulting in a clear increase in yields, especially for ground-mounted installations with a bright surface. Thanks to the use of TOPCon technology, the panels exhibit minimal light-induced degradation and significantly higher efficiency in diffuse light, effectively solving the problem of low performance on cloudy days. This series is primarily dedicated to investors focusing on maximizing the profitability of large-scale commercial projects and modern prosumer installations, where every kilowatt-hour matters. What distinguishes it from competing solutions is an exceptional temperature coefficient, which guarantees energy production stability even during extreme summer heat, ensuring investment safety and predictability over long years of operation in the variable Polish climate.

Bottom 1% of the TOPCon 700-750 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 10,419th in the whole database.
The efficiency range of 22.86–23.18% is identical to peer comparables Gamko GKA210N132 and Renesola RS9-NBG-E1 (both at 23.18%) and only 0.02 pp below DMEGC DMxxxG12T-B66HSW (23.2%). The series therefore sits at the very front of the 210 mm / 132-cell class with no meaningful energy-yield penalty versus direct competition.
TOPCon N-type panels deliver a typical Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C versus -0.34%/°C for P-type PERC. At NOCT = 45°C and summer cell temperatures of +70°C, the gap amounts to ~+1.2% retained power output. N-type substrates show virtually zero Light-Induced Degradation (LID/LeTID), reducing real annual degradation to 0.4–0.5% vs. 0.6–0.8% for PERC.
TOPCon cells achieve a bifaciality factor of ~85% versus ~70% typical for PERC bifacial modules. In ground-mounted systems with a reflective surface (albedo 0.2–0.4) this translates to 8–25% additional rear-side energy gain, corroborated by independent field data (Energy Science & Engineering, 2025: TOPCon delivered +8.16% yield vs. bifacial PERC in vertical-mount conditions).
The manufacturer provides a 30-year linear power warranty (typically ≥87.4% of Pnom after 30 years for TOPCon 30Y class). Most tier-2 PERC modules offer only a 25-year warranty with an end-of-life guarantee of 84.8%, giving this series a measurable LCOE advantage over the full installation lifecycle.
Splitting each 210 mm cell in half reduces resistive losses (I²R) by ~50% compared to full-cell 210 mm modules at the same rated power. The series also delivers improved partial-shading tolerance by operating as two independent half-strings, limiting losses in rooftop systems with obstructions or ground-mounted arrays with row-to-row shading.
Zhejiang Isola New Energy (est. 2006, declared production capacity ~500 MW–3 GW) does not appear on the BNEF Tier-1 Solar Module Manufacturers list for Q1 2026, which includes Longi, JA Solar, Trina Solar, Canadian Solar, and other leading manufacturers. Tier-1 status is a standard requirement in most term sheets for bank-financed projects above 1 MWp — its absence can increase financing costs or result in rejection during lender due diligence.
- At 23.0% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical TOPCon 700-750W modules
- At 230.2 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 700-750W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C is 0.06pp worse than TOPCon 700-750W median (-0.29%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- Ranked #1797 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
