Efficiency leader, short guarantee
The Hiwatt Solar HW-M12/132G(710-730) series is comprised of modules designed for maximum energy generation from a given surface area - particularly in situations where every square meter counts. The use of N-type TOPCon cells results in low degradation over time and more stable performance over the long term, which simplifies investment return planning. Furthermore, the bifacial design allows for the utilization of reflected light from the ground, improving production in typical conditions on roofs of bright halls and ground-mounted installations.
The MBB technology and dense connections also deserve attention, as they minimize losses and increase the module's resistance to microcracks. In practice, this means greater predictability of performance in more challenging mounting and climatic conditions. The series is suitable for PV farms, large industrial roofs, and projects where better performance in low-light conditions and higher productivity compared to standard monofacial modules are important.

Top 10% of the TOPCon 700-750 W segment, against a median of 23.00%.
Top 11% of the TOPCon 700-750 W segment, against a median of 230.2.
Bottom 1% of the TOPCon 700-750 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs. Ranked 9,798th in the whole database.
Bottom 4% of the TOPCon 700-750 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 8,778th in the whole database.
Efficiency range of 22.86–23.5% places the series at the top of the 710–730 Wp segment, on par with direct competitors HY Solar N-Type TOPCon and PolyCrown Monocrystalline132 (both max 23.5%). N-type technology eliminates light-induced degradation (LID) inherent to P-type PERC cells, delivering a measurably higher annual yield throughout the system's lifetime.
The bifacial module captures 5–15% additional energy from rear-side irradiance reflected off the ground (depending on albedo: white roofing membrane ~20%, white gravel ~35%, snow ~80%). In ground-mount systems with high albedo, the annual production advantage over an equivalent monofacial module can reach 70–100 kWh/kWp/year.
A power temperature coefficient of -0.34%/°C outperforms the typical P-type PERC range (-0.35% to -0.40%/°C). At a module operating temperature of 65°C (40°C above STC), power loss is ~13.6%, versus ~14.0–16.0% for PERC — a measurable difference in annual yield for systems above 500 kWp.
Multi-busbar (MBB) cell interconnection combined with dense wiring reduces mechanical stress and slows microcrack propagation (PID-free, anti-LeTID). This improves long-term module durability under wind and snow loads and limits power binning spread across the five variants (710–730 Wp range).
The series was released in 2023 and remains in active production (discontinued = false), ensuring module availability for future system expansions and continuity of technical support. With a 25-year power warranty, ongoing production continuity is a critical project risk factor.
Hiwatt Solar does not appear on the BNEF Tier 1 Q1 2026 bankable manufacturers list. For projects financed by independent commercial banks (>1 MWp), the absence of Tier 1 status complicates or prevents project debt financing and may increase required warranty reserves. Direct competitor Waaree holds Tier 1 BNEF status.
The manufacturer offers a 12-year workmanship warranty, while leading premium-segment manufacturers (Longi, JA Solar, Jinko Solar) standardly provide 15 years. The 3-year gap is material for projects involving bank financing or equipment leasing, where warranty coverage directly affects risk assessments.
The guaranteed minimum output of 84.8% after 25 years is mid-tier standard but below the thresholds offered by select premium TOPCon series (e.g., REC Alpha Pure-R: 92% at 25 years, Panasonic EverVolt: 92%). For investors modeling LCOE over a 25–30 year horizon, a 7+ percentage point difference in end-of-life output has real financial impact.
- Efficiency of 23.5% matches the TOPCon 700-750W median
- Power density of 235.0 W/m² packs 4.8 W/m² more into the same footprint vs TOPCon 700-750W median (230.2 W/m²)
- At -0.34%/°C, loses 0.05pp more power per degree than TOPCon 700-750W median (-0.29%/°C)
- #716 for efficiency, #8778 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
