Efficiency leader, weak in heat
The Hanersun HiTouch 6 series is an advanced solution based on N-type TOPCon cell technology, which effectively pushes the performance limits of modern photovoltaic systems. The use of larger silicon wafers allows for achieving maximum power density while maintaining optimal module dimensions, which directly translates to lower costs for the mounting structure and cabling. These panels effectively solve the problem of efficiency drops on hot days thanks to an exceptionally low temperature coefficient, guaranteeing stable energy production even in difficult weather conditions. Furthermore, minimal light-induced degradation ensures the longevity of the investment and higher energy yields throughout the entire lifecycle of the installation. The HiTouch 6 series stands out from the competition with its excellent performance under low sunlight, which is crucial in the Polish latitude. This product is primarily dedicated to demanding commercial investments and large-scale photovoltaic farms, where the lowest levelized cost of energy matters most. By choosing these modules, you gain increased resistance to micro-cracks and the assurance that the system will maintain its highest operating parameters for decades, maximizing the profitability of your PV project.

Hanersun Energy earned Top Performer status in the 11th edition of the Kiwa PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard (2025), providing independent third-party validation of module durability across standardized stress tests (TC, DH, PID, LID+LeTID). Only a subset of tested manufacturers achieve this designation, differentiating the brand from direct peers in its comparison group (Hiwatt Solar, ZNShine).
The manufacturer guarantees linear power output for 30 years — 5 years longer than the 25-year industry standard offered by most competitors in this segment (e.g., ZNShine ZXM8-TP132 Series). The extended warranty horizon directly improves NPV and IRR metrics when modeling cash flows over the full lifecycle of a commercial installation.
The maximum module efficiency of 21.6% matches the Hiwatt Solar HW-M12/132H (670 W) and exceeds both the Techwise Summit Series and ZNShine ZXM8-TP132 (each at 21.57%) by 0.03 percentage points. Higher power density per m² has practical significance on constrained roof areas or in commercial projects with tight DC/AC ratio requirements.
The bifacial construction enables 10–30% additional energy yield under favorable ground-surface albedo conditions (light gravel, concrete, snow). The use of 210 mm wafers brings module output up to 670 W, reducing module count and BoS costs (wiring, racking, installation labor) per unit of installed capacity compared to smaller-format modules.
Despite series marketing language that implies N-type cell technology, the actual technology is P-type PERC (cell_technology: PERC per manufacturer data). PERC cells exhibit typical LID of 1.5–2% in the first year of operation and a higher temperature coefficient (approx. −0.35%/°C) versus N-type TOPCon (approx. −0.28%/°C), which meaningfully reduces long-term energy yield relative to the claims suggested in the product description.
The product warranty stands at 15 years, while the industry standard among leading manufacturers (LONGi, JA Solar, Jinko, Trina) is 25 years. This gap may represent a barrier to project financing, as banks and infrastructure funds typically require a 25-year product warranty as a minimum module qualification criterion.
The manufacturer does not appear on the current BNEF Tier 1 bankable list (tier_1_bankable: false in context data, despite Hanersun having achieved BNEF Tier 1 status in 2023). The absence of a current bankability designation may complicate securing institutional financing and could disqualify the series from public tenders that require a bankability opinion for the module.
The HiTouch 6 (PERC) series dates from 2021 and has been technologically displaced by newer products from the same manufacturer: the HiTouch 6N (TOPCon, up to 740 W, 24.1% efficiency) and the HiTouch 6H (HJT, up to 735 W, 23.7% efficiency). By selecting the HiTouch 6, an investor foregoes clearly superior specifications within the same brand, which affects both long-term energy yield and the residual value of the installation.
- At 21.6% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 650-700W modules
- Power density of 215.7 W/m² packs 3.2 W/m² more into the same footprint vs PERC 650-700W median (212.5 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C matches the PERC 650-700W median
- At 38.5 kg (4.0 kg above PERC 650-700W median of 34.5 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifaciality factor of 75% can add 4-11% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
