Solid all-round for its segment
The AIKO Neostar 3N+78 Dual-glass (AIKO-A-MAE78Dw) is designed for investments where the maximum yield per square meter is key - without compromising on longevity. Using n-type cells with back-contact architecture eliminates front-side busbars and improves performance under real-world conditions, including when the module heats up or light is scattered. The dual-glass version is a practical solution for long-term durability - the rear glass supports laminate stability, reduces degradation risks related to moisture, and enhances material fatigue resistance.
For rooftops and complex installations, a major advantage is optimized performance under partial shading, preventing a single shadow from disproportionately blocking the entire module, thus reducing hotspot risks. Additionally, the series focuses on micro-cracking resistance, which is highly valued by installers for transportation and large-scale mounting.
This is an excellent choice for utility-scale solar farms, industry, and commercial applications - where lower BOS costs, stable performance, and high reliability over years are priorities.

The series achieves an efficiency of 24.1–25%, exceeding all comparable products in this power range: Luxor HJT (22.74%), Mysolar TOPCon (22.53%), and Sunket (22.5%). The difference of 1.4–2.5% in efficiency translates to a significantly smaller active area needed to achieve the same power output, which directly reduces BOS, installation, and land costs.
The ABC technology provides a power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, compared to the typical -0.29 to -0.32%/°C for TOPCon and HJT. At a module temperature of 70°C, this results in a 1–2% higher yield compared to TOPCon – the cumulative difference over 30 years of operation can amount to several MWh per every 100 kWp installed.
The All-Back-Contact architecture eliminates the electrode network on the front surface, ensuring 100% active light absorption. The absence of front rails reduces the risk of hotspot formation under partial shading and improves performance with diffuse radiation, which is particularly important in the Central European climate with high cloud cover.
The dual-glass enclosure, featuring 2.0+2.0 mm of tempered glass, eliminates the risk of PID degradation and rear film cracking. The manufacturer guarantees ≤1% degradation in the first year and ≤0.35%/year in subsequent years – with a 30-year linear power warranty, this means maintaining at least 87% of the nominal power after 30 years of operation.
AIKO Solar is listed on the BloombergNEF Tier 1 list for Q1 2026, maintaining this status for subsequent quarters. The Tier 1 designation from BNEF is a standard requirement for financial institutions funding PV projects exceeding 1 MW, which removes a barrier for project finance and reduces insurance costs for institutional investors.
The series is not bifacial, while a comparable peer product – Luxor ECO LINE HJT 680–700 W – offers a bifacial module in the same power range. In ground-mounted installations with a light-colored substrate or agrivoltaic applications, bifaciality typically provides a 5–15% higher annual yield, which the Neostar 3N+78 cannot offer.
ABC technology is associated with a 10–15% premium in the commercial C&I segment and up to 50% in the European distributed market compared to comparable TOPCon modules (market data Q1 2026). For projects with ample available space, where surface efficiency is not a critical factor, higher CAPEX can extend the SPBT beyond alternatives based on TOPCon.
While a 30-year performance warranty is common, the product warranty typically only covers 15 years. Some premium manufacturers in the high-efficiency segment offer 25-year product warranties (e.g., REC Group Alpha Pure-R), which can be a deciding factor in installations in difficult-to-access locations or for long-term service contracts.
