The Yingli N-type series introduces a new quality to photovoltaic installations thanks to the use of advanced TOPCon cell technology, which effectively eliminates the phenomenon of LID and LeTID degradation. The use of n-type silicon ensures that these modules are characterized by significantly higher resistance to high temperatures and excellent performance in low light conditions, which is crucial in the Polish climate. The innovative design provides a better bifaciality factor, allowing for energy generation also from the rear side of the cell. By choosing this solution, investors gain higher energy efficiency on limited roof space, which directly translates to a faster return on investment. This series is dedicated to both demanding residential prosumers and large solar farms, where maximizing yields over the entire system life cycle matters. Thanks to this, users can enjoy trouble-free operation of the installation for decades, minimizing service and operational costs. It is distinguished from the competition by its exceptional power stability over a long period of operation and optimized performance in partial shading conditions. This is a substantive response to the needs of a market looking for products with an extended technical lifespan that do not lose their parameters as quickly as traditional p-type panels.

About the N-type series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

How much power does the Yingli N-type panel generate and how much roof space will the installation need?
Modules from the Yingli N-type series reach up to 625 Wp, one of the higher outputs on the market. This means fewer panels are needed to reach a given system size compared to classic p-type modules. That's important on limited roof space, as it lets you fit more power into a smaller area and reduce mounting structure costs.
How does the TOPCon technology used in Yingli N-type differ from standard PERC panels?
TOPCon technology uses n-type silicon instead of p-type, which eliminates LID and LeTID degradation typical of older PERC panels. N-type cells better withstand high temperatures and perform more efficiently in low-light conditions, such as overcast days. In practice, this means higher annual energy yield than comparable p-type panels.
Are Yingli N-type panels bifacial, and how much extra energy does that provide?
Yes, the N-type series is bifacial, meaning the rear side of the module also generates electricity using light reflected off the ground. Depending on the surface beneath the installation (e.g., light-colored gravel or a white roof membrane), the extra yield can range from a few to over ten percent, especially on ground-mount systems or carports with clearance underneath.
What is the warranty on Yingli N-type panels, and is it reliable?
Yingli offers a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty, consistent with the current standard for premium n-type panel series. Yingli is a tier-1 manufacturer with a long track record, which adds real-world confidence to a long-term warranty compared to lesser-known brands.
Will Yingli N-type panels perform well in low-light or overcast conditions?
Yes, this is one of the series' main advantages. N-type TOPCon cells handle diffuse and low-intensity light better than traditional p-type panels, which matters in climates with many overcast days. Additionally, a lower temperature coefficient limits power losses in summer when panels heat up.
Is the Yingli N-type series suitable for both residential rooftops and large solar farms?
Yes, the module design targets both applications. High single-panel wattage and long-term performance stability suit residential rooftop installations, while the bifacial design and shading tolerance make this series attractive for utility-scale solar farms focused on maximizing energy yield.
