Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The Solar N Plus CN4 series is designed to maximize energy yield from the same surface area - particularly in situations where every square meter of roof space or limited mounting points are crucial. Its key advantage lies in the use of N-type cells in TOPCon technology, which maintain their efficiency over time and are less susceptible to typical losses seen in older systems (e.g., light- or potential-induced degradation). This translates to more stable energy production and a more predictable return on investment.
The CN4 series also features low temperature sensitivity, which helps maintain higher performance on hot days when many modules lose the most energy. The materials and construction also support PID and LID resistance, and in selected variants, it offers bifacial and dual-sided construction, which is useful for flat roofs and ground-mounted installations.
This is a series for investors who want to increase energy yield without increasing the size of their installation and are looking for a technology that genuinely improves the energy balance of their system.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Utility-scale, commercial and hot-climate.
Weight-limited structures, tight roof space and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 5% of the N-type 600-650 W segment, against a median of 52.7. Ranked 12,241st in the whole database.
Bottom 20% of the N-type 600-650 W segment, against a median of 22.77%.
Bottom 22% of the N-type 600-650 W segment, against a median of 227.7.
- Efficiency of 22.4% matches the N-type 600-650W median
- Power density of 223.6 W/m² is 4.1 W/m² below N-type 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the N-type 600-650W median
- At 37.3 kg (4.8 kg above N-type 600-650W median of 32.5 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
