Solid all-round for its segment
The N5 series from Luxen Solar Energy consists of photovoltaic modules built on N-type cells in a TOPCon architecture, combining high conversion efficiency with resistance to common PV degradation issues such as light- and voltage-induced degradation. The use of half-cut cells along with multi-busbar (SMBB) technology reduces resistive and current losses, allowing the panel to maintain stable output even under partial shading. The glass-glass construction in the bifacial version enables additional energy harvest from light reflected off the ground surface, making this series an attractive choice for ground-mount installations, solar farms, and flat roofs where maximizing energy yield per available area is a priority. The panels stand out for their high PID resistance and low power temperature coefficient, resulting in better performance in high-temperature conditions and a stable performance ratio throughout the module's lifetime. The N5 series is aimed at both commercial investors and installers seeking a solution with low levelized cost of energy (LCOE) per kWp, while maintaining a robust mechanical build and long module lifespan.

The use of N-type TOPCon half-cut cells combined with multi-busbar (SMBB) technology reduces resistive losses and delivers high resistance to LID/PID degradation, resulting in more stable energy yield over the module's lifetime compared to older PERC modules.
15 variants in the N5 series cover power ratings from 420 to 640 Wp, allowing the panel to be matched to both residential installations and utility-scale PV farms without switching suppliers. The 640 Wp top model matches the flagship power output of peer series (REC Alpha Pro M, Jetion JT SRt(B)).
Luxen Solar Energy has held Tier-1 BNEF status since 2022 and has operated since 2005, easing project financing (bankability) for PV installations built on this series - a key factor for commercial investors.
A Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C limits power losses at high module temperatures, improving performance ratio in installations exposed to strong irradiance and high ambient temperatures.
A 20-year product warranty combined with a 30-year power warranty retaining a minimum of 87.4% output is a premium-class standard among N-type manufacturers, supporting a lower LCOE over the long investment horizon.
The maximum efficiency of 23.14% is about 0.55 pp lower than the Jinko Solar EAGLE G7B module (23.69%) at the same 640 Wp max power - a small gap, but noticeable on roofs with limited surface area.
Luxen has held Tier-1 BNEF status only since 2022, with a targeted production capacity of 10 GW, whereas global peers such as Jinko Solar operate at a far larger, long-established production scale and longer bankability track record.
- Efficiency of 22.9% matches the N-type 600-650W median
- At 228.9 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for N-type 600-650W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the N-type 600-650W median
- Weight of 34.8 kg is 2.3 kg above N-type 600-650W median (32.5 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
