Space saver, short guarantee
The Heliene 132HC G12 HJT SL Bifacial series has been designed for maximum energy yield in situations where every square meter and long-term stability are crucial. The use of N-type cells in the HJT technology results in high efficiency under variable conditions and excellent resistance to typical power losses, which reduces the profitability of installations. These are bifacial modules - they can also utilize light from the rear, thereby realistically increasing production on reflective surfaces, flat roofs, and ground-mounted systems.
The glass-glass construction improves durability and parameter stability over the long term, which will be appreciated by investors focused on predictable returns. Furthermore, the half-cut design supports better performance under partial shading and reduces losses within the module. This solution is particularly suitable for PV farms, large commercial roofs, and projects where a lower BOS (Balance of System) cost and better energy yield from the same area are important.

HJT technology delivers a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, significantly outperforming TOPCon (-0.31%/°C) and PERC (-0.35%/°C) modules. At a typical cell operating temperature of 65°C (40°C above STC), a 710 Wp module loses approximately 10.4 W less than an equivalent TOPCon module — translating into meaningfully higher annual energy yield in high-irradiance locations.
The series ranks among the best peer comparables in its class: Axitec AXIbiperfect GXQ TS, Phono Solar Draco, and Solarspace SS9-66HD achieve an identical maximum efficiency of 22.86%. The lower bound of 22.21% (690 Wp model) still surpasses the majority of G12 TOPCon modules available in a comparable power range.
The dual-glass encapsulation eliminates the backsheet, which is susceptible to UV degradation and moisture ingress, extending the module's mechanical service life. The bifacial HJT cell architecture — with a typical bifaciality factor of ~80–85% for HJT — realistically increases energy yield by 5–15% in ground-mounted systems and flat-roof installations with high-albedo surfaces.
Heliene appears on established bankable Tier-1 manufacturer lists, a key requirement for securing financing of commercial projects and utility-scale PV farms through independent commercial banks. This status confirms the manufacturer's ability to fulfill long-term warranty obligations, reducing financial risk for institutional investors.
The 132 half-cut cell layout in G12 format (210 mm) divides the module into two independent electrical halves, limiting the impact of partial shading on overall energy yield. Combined with HJT characteristics (no LID, minimal LETID), first-year and early-life degradation is significantly lower than in PERC modules.
In the utility-class HJT glass-glass segment, some competitors offer product warranties of 20–25 years (e.g., REC Alpha, Panasonic HIT). A 15-year product warranty may be a limiting factor for projects structured under PPA or BOOT agreements with terms exceeding this threshold, where full product coverage throughout the entire financing period is required.
Heliene is a Canada-based manufacturer founded in 2010, with its primary target market in North America. Compared to Chinese Tier-1 giants such as LONGi, Jinko, and Trina — which maintain a local presence in Poland and the broader CEE region — lead times for potential warranty claims and the availability of on-site technical support may be longer. This is a relevant consideration for large-scale PV farms with SLA requirements.
- At 22.4% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical HJT 650-700W modules
- At 223.7 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for HJT 650-700W panels
- At -0.26%/°C, loses 0.02pp more power per degree than HJT 650-700W median (-0.24%/°C)
- Bifacial design (85% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-13% yield on ground-mount or white roof
- Ranked #4970 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
