Solid all-round for its segment
The Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu6 Anti-Dust series was designed for installations where the real problem is surface soiling and yield losses during dry periods. The key advantage of this line is its construction that limits dust accumulation and snow build-up, helping maintain more stable energy production and reducing the frequency of service cleaning on PV farms.
This module is bifacial based on N-type TOPCon cells, enabling better use of diffuse and reflected light, while also being more resistant to common degradation mechanisms found in older technologies. This supports lower degradation rates over time and more predictable energy yields over the installation's lifetime.
Additionally, double glazing has been used, enhancing resistance to environmental conditions and mechanical impacts, and contributing to longevity in large-scale projects. The TOPBiHiKu6 Anti-Dust is particularly suitable for PV farms and commercial installations in dusty, agricultural, roadside, or locations where washing modules is logistically costly.

A dedicated anti-dust coating that reduces particulate accumulation and snow build-up provides a direct operational advantage over standard TOPBiHiKu6 series modules (which lack this coating). At utility-scale PV plants located near roads, agricultural fields, or in regions with extended dry seasons, reduced cleaning frequency can realistically lower O&M costs by several to more than ten percent per year.
The top-performing variant in the series reaches 23.3% efficiency, virtually matching the competing Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDV (23.32%). This result places the series at the forefront of the 600–630 W segment, significantly above the Leapton LP182*199-M-72-NH and AUSTA AU-156MH (both at 22.54%).
N-type TOPCon cells exhibit no Light Induced Degradation (LID) and are resistant to LeTID, resulting in slower long-term degradation compared to PERC technology. A temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C outperforms a typical PERC module (-0.35%/°C), meaningfully improving energy yield on hot days in commercial installations.
This bifacial module, with a manufacturer-rated bifaciality of up to 85%, harvests energy reflected from the ground surface. When installed over high-albedo surfaces such as gravel, concrete, or snow, this can translate into an additional 5–15% in annual energy yield compared to monofacial modules.
The manufacturer guarantees at least 87% of rated power output after 30 years, a benchmark consistent with premium-tier products. The fully tempered 2.5 mm dual-glass construction provides resistance to snow loads up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads up to 2,400 Pa, making the series well-suited for utility-scale PV plants in harsh climatic conditions. Canadian Solar is listed on the BNEF Tier 1 bankable manufacturer index, a standard requirement for non-recourse financed projects.
Across 7 power variants (600–630 W), the weakest units achieve only 22.2% efficiency — well below the peak of the Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDV (23.32%) and marginally below both the Leapton and AUSTA modules (22.54%). For projects where power density on a constrained footprint is critical, specifying only the 625–630 W variants from the upper end of the range is advisable.
The product (workmanship) warranty stands at 12 years, whereas select premium manufacturers such as REC and Panasonic/Eneos offer 20–25 years. For installations with a 25+ year investment horizon, this represents a potential cost risk for module replacement outside the manufacturer's warranty coverage in the event of early-onset defects.
- Efficiency of 23.1% matches the TOPCon 600-650W median
- At 231.4 W/m² power density, this panel generates 3.7 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²)
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 600-650W panels
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
