Solid all-round for its segment
The Astronergy ASTRO N5 CHSM78N(DG)/F-BH series is an advanced solution based on n-type TOPCon cell technology, redefining efficiency standards in large-scale installations. Thanks to the bifacial double glass design, these modules not only generate energy from both sides but also exhibit extreme resistance to degradation and harsh weather conditions. This is the ideal choice for investors seeking to maximize yields while reducing LCOE. Key differentiators include a minimal temperature coefficient and low LID and LeTID degradation, ensuring stable operation for decades. The use of large cell formats combined with an innovative busbar layout allows for better current management and reduced internal resistance losses. These panels perform perfectly in ground-mounted projects and on roofs with high light reflectance, where every additional kilowatt-hour accelerates the return on investment. Unlike standard older-generation modules, the ASTRO N5 series offers higher efficiency in low-light conditions, making it unrivaled in Polish latitudes. This is a solution for professionals focusing on maximum durability in harsh environments and uncompromising energy efficiency.

The datasheet confirms a degradation of ≤1.0% per year and ≤0.4%/year from year 2 onwards, with a guaranteed minimum power output of 87.4% after 30 years. The Peer Jinko Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDX offers the same 87.4%/30-year threshold, but many manufacturers in the entry-level 650 W segment limit the warranty to 25 years with an 84.8% threshold.
The n-type technology eliminates the dominant LID (Light-Induced Degradation) phenomenon in p-type cells and also reduces LeTID (Light & elevated Temperature Induced Degradation). This results in a significantly higher power output in the first 5 years of operation compared to PERC modules of the same rated power.
Replacing the 2.0+2.0 mm glass with a rear film eliminates EVA degradation (yellowing) and increases resistance to dynamic loads. Bifacial gain in ground-mounted systems with a light-colored or gravel-covered surface typically reaches 10–20% additional energy generation, which directly reduces the LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) of the project.
Astronergy maintains Tier 1 status according to BloombergNEF (Q1 2026) and ranks among the top 6 producers in the 2023 bankability ranking. This status, for projects financed by commercial banks, reduces the risk premium and facilitates the acquisition of project finance.
With a format of 2465×1134 mm and a peak power of up to 650 W, the system reduces the number of modules, MC4 connectors, mounting brackets, and labor hours per MW of installed power. Compared to older generation modules with 400–500 W, the ASTRO N5 series can reduce BOS (Balance of System) costs by 8–12% in utility-scale installations.
The maximum efficiency of the series is 23.3%, while the Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 66HL4M-BDX achieves 24.06% at the same 650 W power output. The difference of 0.76% indicates that approximately 3.3% more modules are needed to achieve a 1 MWp installed power in Astroenerge compared to Jinko, which could increase the land area occupied or installation costs in large ground-mounted projects.
- At 23.1% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical TOPCon 600-650W modules
- 230.7 W/m² power density - 3.0 W/m² more than TOPCon 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 600-650W panels
- Weight of 34.7 kg is 2.0 kg above TOPCon 600-650W median (32.7 kg) - verify structural support
- In the top 11% for efficiency among all TOPCon panels
