Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The VSUN Mars Series consists of modules designed for high energy production in real-world Polish installations, even when the roof is not perfectly sunlit throughout the day. The use of N-type TOPCon cells helps to minimize typical losses and degradation over time, resulting in more stable operation of the installation for years. In practice, this means fewer disappointments after a few seasons and better predictability of energy yields.
The half-cut technology also deserves attention, as it makes the module more efficient under partial shading and reduces the risk of power drops across the entire panel. Furthermore, multibusbar (MBB) improves current collection from the cells and supports higher efficiency without increasing the surface area. You will also find dual-glass and bifacial construction in many variants, which increases mechanical strength and allows for the utilization of light reflected from the ground.
This is a good choice for roofs of houses, carports, and commercial installations, where durability, resistance to shading, and long-term profitability are important.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, owners who want a long output guarantee and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 4% of the 565-765 W band, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 10,419th in the whole database.
Bottom 7% of the 565-765 W band, against a median of 30 yrs. Ranked 9,798th in the whole database.
Bottom 15% of the 565-765 W band, against a median of 225.8.
- At 21.4% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical database modules
- At 214.1 W/m², this panel generates 4.0 W/m² less per unit area than database median (218.1 W/m²)
- At -0.35%/°C, loses 0.05pp more power per degree than database median (-0.30%/°C)
- At 34.5 kg, this panel is 8.0 kg heavier than the database median (26.5 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- #8280 for efficiency, #10419 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
