Middle of its segment, weak in heat
Ultra V Plus is a series of bifacial dual-sided modules designed for investors who want to maximize energy yield from every square meter of roof or ground-mounted installation space. The panel uses monocrystalline half-cut cells arranged in a 6x26 layout, which reduces power losses from partial shading and improves reliability under demanding irradiance conditions. Thanks to multi-busbar technology and Suntech's proprietary current-sorting process, the module effectively eliminates electrical mismatch between cells, translating into a real increase in energy output from the system. The rear-side design allows for additional energy capture from light reflected off the ground, making the series particularly attractive for installations on bright surfaces, flat roofs, or ground-mount systems. The panels stand out with a low power temperature coefficient, losing less performance on hot days compared to competing solutions, along with strong output in low-light conditions such as mornings or overcast weather. The module has passed extended wind and snow load testing, confirming its durability in demanding climate conditions. The series is backed by a 30-year linear warranty and low annual power degradation, making it a solid choice for both residential installations and large-scale commercial solar farm projects.

Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, roofs where every square metre has to count and tight roof space.
Bottom 2% of the 480-680 W band, against a median of -0.300. Ranked 12,425th in the whole database.
Bottom 9% of the 480-680 W band, against a median of 222.6. Ranked 10,664th in the whole database.
Bottom 9% of the 480-680 W band, against a median of 22.26%. Ranked 10,533rd in the whole database.
- Efficiency of 20.8% is 1.0pp below the database median (21.8%)
- 207.6 W/m² power density is 10.5 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- Temperature coefficient of -0.36%/°C is 0.06pp worse than database median (-0.30%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- At 31.1 kg (4.6 kg above database median of 26.5 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifaciality factor of 70% can add 4-10% extra yield with reflective mounting surface

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Suntech in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 580 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
Model: bifaciality × albedo × 0.6 view factor. A first-order estimate, not a yield simulation.
