Middle of its segment, weak in heat
Ultra V Plus is a series of bifacial dual-sided modules designed for investors who want to maximize energy yield from every square meter of roof or ground-mounted installation space. The panel uses monocrystalline half-cut cells arranged in a 6x26 layout, which reduces power losses from partial shading and improves reliability under demanding irradiance conditions. Thanks to multi-busbar technology and Suntech's proprietary current-sorting process, the module effectively eliminates electrical mismatch between cells, translating into a real increase in energy output from the system. The rear-side design allows for additional energy capture from light reflected off the ground, making the series particularly attractive for installations on bright surfaces, flat roofs, or ground-mount systems. The panels stand out with a low power temperature coefficient, losing less performance on hot days compared to competing solutions, along with strong output in low-light conditions such as mornings or overcast weather. The module has passed extended wind and snow load testing, confirming its durability in demanding climate conditions. The series is backed by a 30-year linear warranty and low annual power degradation, making it a solid choice for both residential installations and large-scale commercial solar farm projects.

Commercial, utility-scale and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, tight roof space and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 2% of the 470-670 W band, against a median of -0.300. Ranked 12,425th in the whole database.
Bottom 3% of the 470-670 W band, against a median of 22.26%. Ranked 11,680th in the whole database.

- Module efficiency of 20.4% is 1.4pp below average for database panels (median: 21.8%)
- Power density of 204.0 W/m² is 14.1 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.36%/°C is 0.06pp worse than database median (-0.30%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- At 31.1 kg, this panel is 4.6 kg heavier than the database median (26.5 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- Bifacial design (70% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-10% yield on ground-mount or white roof

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Suntech in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 570 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
Model: bifaciality × albedo × 0.6 view factor. A first-order estimate, not a yield simulation.
