The Seraphim Hydra series is a breakthrough solution based on HJT cell technology, which redefines performance standards in modern photovoltaics. These modules have been designed for investments requiring maximum energy yield from every square meter, making them the ideal choice for utility-scale farms and advanced commercial installations. What sets the Hydra series apart from the competition is its record-breaking bifaciality of 90%, allowing for significantly more efficient use of light reflected from the ground compared to standard bifacial modules. Thanks to the use of a low temperature coefficient, these panels maintain high efficiency even on very hot days, effectively minimizing power losses resulting from cell heating. The module design also guarantees exceptional resistance to PID and LID degradation, which translates into stable operation and minimal annual power loss over a thirty-year service life. By choosing the Hydra series, investors receive a product with high mechanical strength that performs excellently in low-light conditions. It is a solution dedicated to professionals who prioritize uncompromising quality and cutting-edge cell technology, thus ensuring maximized profits and the fastest possible return on investment.

Common questions

6 answered
What is HJT technology and why does the Seraphim Hydra series use it?
HJT (Heterojunction Technology) combines crystalline silicon with a thin amorphous silicon layer, delivering module efficiency of around 23.5% — well above standard PERC or TOPCon panels. The Hydra series uses HJT because it minimizes power losses at high temperatures and ensures exceptionally low degradation over the full 30-year power warranty period. The result is higher energy yield per square meter of installed capacity.
What does 90% bifaciality mean for the Seraphim Hydra, and how much extra energy can I expect?
A 90% bifaciality rating means the rear side of the Hydra module captures 90% as much energy from reflected light as the front side — one of the highest figures available on the market. In real-world conditions with a bright ground surface (concrete, white gravel, or snow), the system can generate 10–20% more energy annually compared to a monofacial module of similar wattage. The gain is most significant in ground-mounted utility-scale farms and flat-roof commercial installations.
What warranty comes with the Seraphim Hydra panels and what does it cover?
Seraphim provides a 15-year product warranty covering material and workmanship defects, plus a 30-year linear power warranty. After 30 years, the Hydra module is guaranteed to retain at least 87.4% of its nominal power output — translating to a maximum annual degradation rate of approximately 0.4%. This low degradation is achievable thanks to the HJT cell technology's inherent resistance to PID and LID.
Do Seraphim Hydra panels lose significant power during hot summer days?
No — this is one of HJT's key advantages. The Hydra series has a low temperature coefficient of approximately -0.24%/°C, compared to -0.35%/°C for typical PERC modules. At a cell temperature of 70°C, the Hydra loses roughly 11% of its rated power, while a PERC panel would lose around 17%. In hot climates and large-scale utility farms, this difference results in measurably higher annual energy production and improved LCOE.
What type of installation is the Seraphim Hydra best suited for, and can it be used on a residential rooftop?
The Hydra series, with up to 730 Wp per module, is primarily designed for utility-scale farms and commercial installations where maximizing energy yield per square meter and minimizing LCOE are the top priorities. The large module format (approx. 2384×1303 mm, ~35 kg) requires compatible inverters and mounting structures. Residential rooftop use is possible provided the roof structure has adequate load-bearing capacity and the inverter is properly sized — consultation with a certified installer is strongly recommended.
Is Seraphim a reliable manufacturer, and is the Hydra series still available to purchase?
Seraphim Solar is a Bloomberg NEF Tier 1 manufacturer, confirming its financial stability and consistent production capacity. Founded in 2011, the company supplies modules to utility-scale projects worldwide. The Hydra series is currently active and available for purchase — it has not been discontinued. When buying, verify that you are purchasing through an authorized distributor to ensure full warranty support directly backed by the manufacturer.
