Middle of its segment, short guarantee
The Panasonic EverVolt Solar Module Black Series redefines efficiency standards through the use of advanced heterojunction cell technology (HJT), which minimizes energy losses at the silicon layer boundaries. These panels are a direct response to the problem of efficiency drops on hot days - they feature one of the market's lowest temperature coefficients, guaranteeing stable power production even in extreme sunlight. The unique design of the frame and deep black cells makes the installation nearly invisible on the roof, which will be appreciated by investors who value premium aesthetics without compromising on power. Unlike standard solutions, this series is characterized by exceptionally low degradation, offering users a power guarantee of at least 92% after 25 years. This is an ideal choice for homeowners with limited roof space, where every square meter must generate maximum yields. By choosing these modules, the investor gains confidence backed by comprehensive protection covering not only the hardware, but also performance and labor, which clearly distinguishes the offer from mass competition. An innovative water drainage system further prevents dirt accumulation, resulting in longevity and maintenance-free operation of the system for many decades.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential and hot-climate.
Owners who want a long output guarantee and hot climates.
Bottom 8% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs. Ranked 9,798th in the whole database.
Bottom 23% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.240.
Efficiency of 21.6-22.2% exceeds all comparable 410 Wp peer modules (VDS Renewable 20.4%, Sunket 21%, Luxor Solar TOPCon 21.33%), delivering higher energy yield from the same roof area.
The HJT cells achieve a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, one of the best results on the market, limiting power losses during heat and ensuring more stable output in hot climates.
The warranty covers product, power performance (min. 92% after 25 years), and labor simultaneously - Panasonic confirmed in April 2025 that despite exiting production, all existing warranties remain valid.
The deep black frame and cells create a uniform, nearly invisible look on the roof, a key advantage for residential installations where facade aesthetics matter to the investor.
The guaranteed minimum of 92% of rated power after 25 years is clearly better than the typical 84-87% offered by standard PERC modules with a 25-year linear warranty.
On April 28, 2025, Panasonic announced its complete exit from the solar panel and energy storage business. The EverVolt Black series is no longer available for purchase, limiting future access to service, module replacements, and system components - despite commitments to honor existing warranties.
Unlike the competing Luxor Solar Eco Line TOPCon (410-430 Wp, Glass-Glass, bifacial option), the EverVolt Black series is monofacial only, excluding the additional albedo-driven yield available with light-colored surfaces or ground-mounted installations.
- At 22.2% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical HJT 400-450W modules
- Power density of 221.6 W/m² matches the HJT 400-450W median
- -0.26%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.02pp worse than HJT 400-450W median (-0.24%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- 20.5 kg weight - 2.5 kg lighter than HJT 400-450W median (23.0 kg), reducing installation effort
- In the top 42% for efficiency among all HJT panels
