Space saver, no clear weak spot
The Jetion JT SYK(B) Dual-glass Monocrystalline Solar Module series introduces a new level of quality in the area of photovoltaic system durability thanks to the use of double-glass technology. The elimination of the traditional backsheet in favor of a tempered glass pane significantly increases the modules' resistance to micro-cracks and extreme weather conditions, which directly translates into the extended lifespan of the entire installation. These modules utilize monocrystalline half-cut cells, which allows for the minimization of energy losses resulting from shading and the reduction of internal resistance. A key distinguishing feature of the JT SYK(B) series is its exceptional fire resistance class, making it an ideal solution for facilities with increased safety requirements, such as warehouses or public buildings. The applied design effectively addresses the problem of potential-induced degradation (PID) and corrosion in environments with high salinity or high ammonia concentration. By choosing these panels, investors receive higher long-term yield stability, which distinguishes them from standard single-sided solutions. This product is dedicated to demanding commercial projects and ground-mounted installations, where the priority is maximum return on investment with minimal equipment maintenance costs. This series guarantees excellent tightness and mechanical resistance, setting standards in the premium segment.

Commercial and shaded-installations.
Top 1% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 221.6. Ranked 2,333rd in the whole database.
Top 3% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 22.20%. Ranked 2,359th in the whole database.
HJT cells deliver a temperature coefficient of approx. -0.26%/°C, compared to -0.30–0.32%/°C for TOPCon and -0.35%/°C for PERC. At a cell temperature of 70°C on a summer afternoon, this translates to roughly 3–4% higher real-world output versus comparable TOPCon peers such as the Luxor ECO LINE (22.86% efficiency) or Seraphim Nebula.
Jetion guarantees annual degradation ≤0.3% and first-year attenuation ≤1%, implying ~91.5% power retention after 30 years. By comparison, standard Tier-1 PERC modules (e.g., Jinko Tiger Pro) guarantee ~84.8% retention after 25 years — the JT SYK(B) series clearly outperforms this benchmark over a longer investment horizon.
The HJT heterojunction architecture, free of the highly absorptive BSF layer, enables a bifacial ratio exceeding 90%, some 5–8 percentage points higher than bifacial PERC modules (~82–85%). In ground-mount installations with reflective surfaces (gravel, concrete) or reflective roofs, this yields measurable energy gain at zero additional BoS cost.
The TCO layer in HJT cells contains no insulating sub-layer, which structurally prevents PID without requiring anti-PID inverter settings. The dual-glass encapsulation — replacing the backsheet — also provides certified resistance to ammonia and salt mist corrosion, making the series suitable for agricultural, port, and coastal installations.
Jetion Solar re-entered the BNEF Tier-1 PV Module Maker list in Q2 2024 as one of the few HJT-focused manufacturers meeting full bankability criteria (non-recourse financing of six ≥10 MW projects by six different banks). This eliminates manufacturer-risk premiums in project finance structures and broadens eligibility for institutional lending in commercial and utility-scale projects.
The JT SYK(B) series carries a 15-year product (materials and workmanship) warranty, while leading Tier-1 manufacturers in the same performance class — Jinko Solar Tiger Neo, LONGi Hi-MO 6, Canadian Solar HiHero — standardly provide 25-year product warranties. The shorter coverage may be a constraint when securing bank financing for projects with a >20-year asset life or meeting procurement specifications in public tenders.
HJT cell production requires dedicated low-temperature deposition lines and consumes approximately 15–20% more silver than TOPCon processes, resulting in a module price premium typically 10–15% above equivalent-wattage TOPCon alternatives (e.g., Luxor ECO LINE N-TYPE TOPCon 440W). In residential prosumer and small commercial projects, the higher yield may not fully offset the increased LCOE contribution.
- Efficiency of 22.9% is 0.7pp above the HJT 400-450W median (22.2%)
- 229.4 W/m² power density - 7.8 W/m² more than HJT 400-450W median (221.6 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.24%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for HJT 400-450W panels
- Bifaciality factor of 85% can add 4-13% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
- Ranked #2359 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
