Light for its output, no clear weak spot
The Jolywood JW Pro series comprises bifacial modules in n-type TOPCon technology, designed to maximize energy yield under real operating conditions. Thanks to the active rear side, they better utilize reflected light from the ground surface - translating to additional power generation where other panels "finish" their work: on light roofs, membranes, gravel, or in snowy surroundings.
A key feature of this series is the glass-glass construction, which improves resistance to environmental factors and operational stability for years. From an investor's perspective, the following features are also important: low power degradation and resilience to phenomena typical of operation in challenging conditions, such as PID, high salinity, or ammonia. JW Pro also prioritizes solutions minimizing the risk of microcracks, contributing to maintaining parameters over a long-term horizon.
This is an excellent choice for C&I installations, PV farms, and projects where a low LCOE matters - especially where you can strategically leverage reflections to increase yield without expanding the surface area.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale and hot-climate.
Top 2% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 53.1. Ranked 369th in the whole database.
Top 7% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 1,309th in the whole database.
Top 12% of the TOPCon 600-650 W segment, against a median of 227.7.
JW Pro modules achieve up to 23.6% efficiency, outperforming direct peers — GCL-M12/60GDF (21.6%), Techwise Summit (21.55%), and Seraphim Seco (21.55%) — by approximately 2 percentage points, a ~9% relative advantage that translates into higher energy yield per unit of roof or field area.
N-type TOPCon cells deliver a Pmax temperature coefficient of −0.28%/°C versus −0.35% to −0.40%/°C for typical PERC modules, resulting in meaningfully higher real-world output on hot days. Annual power degradation of 0.40% (1.0% in year one) keeps LID and LETID losses to a minimum.
The active rear surface contributes an additional 5–25% yield from reflected irradiance at albedo >25% (white TPO membranes, gravel, snow-covered ground). The dual-glass (DG) build eliminates backsheet degradation and raises mechanical load resistance, supporting a real service life well beyond 30 years.
Jolywood guarantees ≥87.4% of rated power after 30 years — exceeding the 25-year standard prevalent in this segment (e.g., 84.8% at 25 years for many competitors). The manufacturer has operated since 2008 as a global pioneer of industrial N-type TOPCon cell production and holds confirmed bankable-manufacturer status per the BNEF Tier-1 list (Q2 2026).
Jolywood's ~10 GW/year manufacturing capacity trails segment leaders — JinkoSolar, LONGi, and Trina Solar each exceed 80 GW/year — which may result in longer lead times or limited supply flexibility for utility-scale projects above ~50 MWp during peak demand periods.
- Efficiency of 23.4% is 0.6pp above the TOPCon 600-650W median (22.8%)
- At 234.2 W/m² power density, this panel generates 6.5 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 600-650W median (227.7 W/m²)
- At -0.28%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 600-650W panels
- 26.6 kg weight - 6.1 kg lighter than TOPCon 600-650W median (32.7 kg), reducing installation effort
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
