Solid all-round for its segment
Jinko Solar's Tiger Neo 72HL4-BDV series are bifacial modules featuring a glass-glass construction, engineered for maximum energy yield in real-world operating conditions - beyond the laboratory. The application of N-type cells in TOPCon technology helps minimize degradation-related losses over time and maintain stable performance, even at higher temperatures or under low-light conditions. This is a key advantage where long-term, predictable energy output is essential.
Thanks to bifaciality, the module can additionally utilize reflected light, which is particularly effective on light-colored rooftops, ground-mounted installations on geotextile fabric, or canopy structures over parking lots. SMBB technology enhances current collection and performance under partial shading, while high PID resistance supports safe operation in high-voltage systems.
This series is designed for investors seeking modules for commercial and industrial installations as well as utility-scale PV farms, where factors such as longevity, energy yield from both sides, and reliable performance in challenging environments are critical.

The series covers an efficiency range of 22.26–23.23%, matching segment leaders Tongwei TWMND N-type (23.2%) and Lexron 144 CELL HALFCUT TOPCON (23.23%), and significantly outperforming peer Talesun BISTAR TP7F78M (21.5%). N-type cells eliminate recombination losses through a tunnel oxide passivation layer, translating into higher energy yield per square meter of roof area.
Per Jinko Solar's official documentation (PDF, 2023), Tiger Neo modules exhibited LID of only 0.26% after 60 kWh/m² exposure, compared to 1.92% for conventional PERC under identical conditions. Post-year-1 annual degradation is capped at 0.4% (vs. 0.55% for PERC), and the 30-year linear power warranty guarantees above 87.4% of rated power after three decades of operation.
An 80% (±5%) bifacial factor enables meaningful rear-side energy gain — especially effective on ground-mounted systems with white geotextile, carport structures, or light-colored rooftop surfaces. The dual-glass construction (2 mm panes) also delivers superior moisture barrier performance and long-term durability compared to polymer backsheet alternatives.
Slim Multi-Busbar technology with 16 thin busbars per cell shortens current path, reduces resistive losses, and improves partial-shading tolerance. HOT 2.0 enhances cell surface passivation, while high PID resistance enables safe operation in high-voltage system configurations typical of utility-scale PV farms and C&I installations.
Jinko Solar ranked #1 in the Bloomberg BNEF PV Module Bankability Survey 2024 as the only manufacturer to achieve 100% bankability — for the 10th consecutive year. BNEF Tier-1 status facilitates non-recourse project financing with international lenders, directly lowering the cost of capital (LCOE) for institutional investors and utility-scale PV developers.
The Tiger Neo 72HL4-BDV series was manufactured exclusively between 2021 and 2023 and is now discontinued. This results in limited availability of new modules on the secondary market, potential difficulties in replacing damaged units with an identical model, and the risk of unavailable spare parts (e.g., glass, frames) from authorized service partners over a 10+ year horizon.
The module weighs 31–32 kg per datasheet — approximately 4–6 kg more than a comparable glass-backsheet module of the same wattage. For rooftop installations, this may require structural reinforcement or a reduced module count per roof section, increasing BoS costs and adding complexity to structural engineering requirements.
- Efficiency of 22.4% matches the TOPCon 550-600W median
- At 224.5 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 550-600W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 550-600W median
- In the top 33% for efficiency among all TOPCon panels
