Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The Huayao Hyper N60 series was designed to maximize energy yield in typical rooftop installations, where every square meter counts. The use of N-type cells in modern architecture (including solutions minimizing current losses and improving performance at higher temperatures) translates to more stable annual production and slower module degradation. In practice, this means lower risks of performance drops and more predictable savings on bills.
Hyper N60 stands out with high efficiency in real-world conditions - even under dispersed sunlight and on cooler days, which is significant for Poland's climate. An additional advantage is its robust construction designed for durability and resistance to typical operational issues, including enhanced resistance to degradation. The series performs well in both single-family homes and small and medium-sized commercial installations, where cost-effectiveness throughout the entire lifecycle and trouble-free operation for years are important.

TOPCon N-type cells exhibit significantly lower LID/LeTID degradation than legacy PERC modules, and a better temperature coefficient (typically -0.29 to -0.30%/°C vs. -0.35%/°C for PERC), resulting in higher energy yield on hot days. For Central European climates this translates into more stable year-round production.
The bifacial construction harvests energy from the module's rear surface. With typical ground albedo of 20-30% and an appropriate mounting configuration (light-colored rooftop or ground-mount), additional yield reaches 5-15% over a same-wattage monofacial module - with no increase in footprint.
The manufacturer offers a 30-year power output warranty, exceeding the 25-year standard common among most segment suppliers (JA Solar, Trina Solar, etc.). A longer warranty horizon directly improves the installation's LCOE and supports residual asset value at potential property sale.
The 630-650 Wp power range places the series in the top decile of rooftop-class 60-cell-equivalent modules. Higher nominal wattage reduces the number of strings required, lowers BoS costs (cabling, connectors, installation labor), and simplifies MPPT optimization in the inverter.
Module efficiency up to 22.97% enables higher power output from constrained roof areas, a key factor in typical residential prosumer installations where available surface is the primary bottleneck. This result is competitive with leading bifacial rooftop products in the segment.
Huayao does not appear on BloombergNEF's bankable Tier-1 module manufacturer list (H1 2026). In practice, this complicates or prevents the use of these modules in non-recourse financed projects and may restrict access to performance insurance products. All three peer comparables - Astronergy, BYD, and Jinko Solar - hold Tier-1 status.
The series' peak efficiency of 22.97% trails every peer comparable: Astronergy ASTRO N5 at 23.3% (+0.33 pp), BYD AURO N at 23.25% (+0.28 pp), and Jinko Solar Tiger Neo at 24.06% (+1.09 pp). On a 50 m² rooftop, the gap versus Jinko represents approximately 0.5-0.6 kWp of unrealized capacity for an identical installation footprint.
The materials and workmanship warranty covers only 15 years, while Jinko Solar, Astronergy, and BYD standardly offer 25-year product warranties in this segment. The shorter coverage increases investor financial risk if a module fails between years 16 and 25 of operation, when repair or replacement costs fall entirely on the system owner.
