Middle of its segment, modest efficiency
The BECSA BEC-HJT series represents the highest standard in N-type Heterojunction (HJT) cell technology, which redefines the efficiency of modern photovoltaic systems. A key differentiator of these modules is the unique combination of crystalline silicon with thin-film technology, allowing for record energy conversion efficiency even in low sunlight and on cloudy days. Thanks to exceptionally low temperature coefficients, these panels effectively solve the problem of power drops on hot days, generating significantly more kilowatt-hours annually than standard competitive solutions. The durable construction based on double glass (Bifacial Glass-Glass) guarantees not only full resistance to PID and LID degradation, but also allows for obtaining additional energy from rays reflected from the ground. The use of a symmetrical cell structure makes the modules exceptionally resistant to micro-cracks and mechanical stress, ensuring maximum installation lifespan exceeding thirty years. BECSA BEC-HJT is a premium class product dedicated to demanding investors for whom energy stability in extreme weather conditions and the fastest possible return on investment are priorities, placing this series at the forefront of the most cost-effective solutions on the Polish market.

HJT technology achieves a temperature coefficient of approximately -0.25%/°C, while competing TOPCon modules typically rate at -0.31%/°C. At a typical cell operating temperature of 45°C during a Central European summer, this translates to a real-world daily energy yield advantage of approximately 1-1.5% over TOPCon equivalents.
The 23% peak efficiency matches comparable models such as the DAS Solar DAS-DH132NC (23%) and Becquer BEC-HJT (23%), with the New East Solar NESE 66THB-G12 leading the series by only 0.02 percentage points (23.02%). The series firmly holds a top-tier position within the 690-715 Wp segment.
The HJT glass-glass construction delivers a bifaciality factor of 90-95%, compared to the typical 80-90% of TOPCon modules. At a ground albedo of 20-30% (characteristic of light-colored rooftops or gravel), this yields an additional 6-10% energy gain from the rear surface.
The 30-year power output warranty exceeds the industry-standard 25 years offered by the majority of manufacturers in this segment (DAS Solar, New East Solar). It is complemented by a 25-year product warranty, reducing investment risk for long-term projects.
N-type HJT cells are inherently immune to both LID (Light Induced Degradation) and PID (Potential Induced Degradation). This eliminates the need for dedicated anti-PID devices in inverters, lowering overall system cost.
BECSA (the brand associated with Becquer, Singapore/India) does not appear on the official BloombergNEF Tier-1 list or the PVEL Scorecard, unlike established HJT suppliers such as Risen Energy or Huasun. For projects requiring bankability (project finance), this may complicate securing financing or insurance for the installation.
HJT modules carry a market price premium of 10-25% over comparable TOPCon modules at similar efficiency levels (23%). For a typical residential 10 kWp system, the cost difference is estimated at PLN 1,500-3,500, extending the simple payback time (SPBT) by approximately 0.5-1 year relative to Tier-1 TOPCon solutions.
- Efficiency of 22.7% matches the HJT 700-750W median
- Power density of 226.9 W/m² is 3.2 W/m² below HJT 700-750W median (230.2 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- At -0.24%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for HJT 700-750W panels
- 10% bifaciality enables rear-side power generation, boosting yield by 0-2% on reflective surfaces
- In the top 24% for efficiency among all HJT panels
