Middle of its segment, modest efficiency
Huasun Color Module Series 410W+ are panels designed for locations where not only yield matters, but also the appearance of the installation. Instead of standard black glass, you receive modules in color variants tailored to the façade or roof, facilitating installation on buildings with high aesthetic requirements and in BIPV projects. The key technology here is HJT based on n-type cells, supported by the zero busbar (0BB) structure, which minimizes front shading and helps maintain stable operation over time. The applied colored layer can simultaneously ensure high light transmittance, enabling the panel to better integrate design with energy production compared to many "decorative" solutions. In practice, this is an excellent choice for single-family homes, premium investments, visible roofs from the street, and modern façades where standard modules spoil the architectural effect. Another distinguishing feature is the glass-glass construction, valued for its resistance to atmospheric conditions and long-term durability.

HJT technology delivers a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, compared to -0.31%/°C for TOPCon modules (e.g., Luxor Eco Line N-type from the peer set) and -0.35%/°C for PERC. On a hot day with cells at 65°C, the HJT module loses approximately 10.4% of STC power versus 12.4% for a TOPCon equivalent — a measurable energy yield advantage in warm-climate installations.
Zero busbar technology eliminates front-side metal ribbons, reducing internal shading and contact resistance. This improves the cell-to-module (CTM) ratio and increases hot-spot resistance compared to standard multi-busbar modules — confirmed in Huasun's April 2024 technical documentation.
Huasun provides a 30-year linear power warranty, while most comparable N-type TOPCon modules (Sunket, Luxor) offer 25–30 years. Combined with HJT's low annual degradation rate (~0.27%/yr vs ~0.40%/yr for TOPCon), this supports a strong LCOE case for projects with a 25+ year investment horizon.
Huasun is listed on the BNEF Tier 1 PV Module Manufacturers list for Q1 2025 and was named a Top Performer in the 9th edition of the Kiwa PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard. This confirms bankability for project finance and independent production quality validation — critical for insurance and project refinancing.
The color coating maintains up to 80% light transmittance, an exceptional result among aesthetic modules and significantly higher than typical BIPV solutions (often 40–60%). The glass-glass construction improves mechanical strength and eliminates backsheet delamination risk, extending the module's real-world service life.
At the same 410W nameplate power, Sunket SKT410M10-108D4 achieves 21.0% and Luxor Eco Line N-type TOPCon reaches 21.33% efficiency. This means the Huasun Color module requires approximately 3.7% more roof area per kWp than the Luxor equivalent — a constraint for space-limited installations. The gap is partly attributable to light absorption by the color coating.
The series offers no bifacial variant, while the direct 410W/21.33% peer — Luxor Eco Line N-type TOPCon — is available as a glass-glass bifacial module. On installations with reflective surfaces (light membrane, gravel, white roofing), bifaciality contributes 5–15% additional annual energy yield unavailable with this series.
Huasun offers a 15-year product warranty, while 25–30 years is the growing standard among Tier-1 N-type manufacturers (e.g., Trina Solar Vertex S+, JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0). For installers, this introduces potential out-of-pocket service exposure after year 15, before the 30-year power warranty expires.
