Space saver, no clear weak spot
The Haitai Solar N series G12 bifacial double-glass module is designed to maximize energy yield in installations where every extra percentage point matters. A key advantage is the bifacial design - the module operates actively from both sides, effectively utilizing reflected light on bright surfaces such as concrete, gravel, or snow. The use of double glass increases resistance to moisture, temperature changes, and accelerated aging, thereby reducing the risk of performance degradation over time.
In practice, this series also features multi-busbar technology, which improves current collection and reduces susceptibility to micro-cracks, as well as solutions that support high reliability in more demanding operating conditions. This makes it a good choice for PV farms, commercial installations on flat roofs, and projects where lower system costs and long-term stability are important. Compared to many standard monofacial modules, this series provides more predictable energy yield and greater tolerance to environmental conditions.

Top 19% of the TOPCon 300-350 W segment, against a median of 82.1.
N-type TOPCon cells exhibit no Light-Induced Degradation (LID), with an annual power degradation rate of ≤0.4% (vs. ≤0.55% for typical PERC modules). The temperature coefficient of Pmax at approximately -0.30%/°C improves summer energy yield compared to PERC technology (-0.35%/°C), translating into a measurably higher annual energy yield in Central European climates.
The glass-glass construction increases rear-side light transmission to ~94% vs. ~89% for backsheet foil, maximizing bifacial energy gain. Under high-albedo conditions (concrete, gravel, snow), the bifacial energy gain typically reaches 10–30%, effectively pushing system-level power output above the rated front-side power and placing this series clearly ahead of monofacial peers such as the Heckert Solar NEMO 2.0 60M BLACK (325 W, monofacial).
The manufacturer guarantees ≥87.4% of nominal power after 30 years of operation (linear degradation ≤0.4%/year). The industry standard for many PERC modules and older series is 25 years with a floor of ~84.8%, meaning the Haitai N Series G12 provides a full 5 additional years of warranty coverage — a significant advantage for long-term financed projects.
Haitai Solar achieved BNEF Tier 1 status in Q2 2025 under BloombergNEF's tightened criteria (minimum 6 projects ≥10 MW financed by independent commercial banks within 24 months). Tier 1 status confirms the manufacturer's bankability and substantially simplifies project financing for commercial installations and utility-scale PV plants.
Multi-busbar (MBB) technology shortens the current path within each cell, reducing resistive losses and alleviating the mechanical stresses responsible for micro-cracks. Combined with the rigid glass-glass frame, this delivers significantly higher mechanical durability than modules built with standard backsheet foil.
The lowest-wattage variant in the series (310 W, 18.97% front-side efficiency) falls 0.43 percentage points below the Heckert Solar NEMO 2.0 60M BLACK (19.4%) and nearly 1.0 percentage point below the MY Solar M2 Series (19.98%). In low-albedo installations (dark rooftops, no reflective ground surface) the bifacial gain may not fully offset this difference — higher-wattage variants within the series should be selected for such applications.
