Light for its output, short guarantee
The EGing PV STAR Pro SERIES are modules based on N-type TOPCon cells, designed for high productivity in Polish conditions - even when the weather is unfavorable. Thanks to half-cut technology and SMBB (multi-busbar) solutions, the panels better limit internal losses and operate more stably under partial shading, which genuinely simplifies the design of rooftop installations near chimneys, windows, or neighboring obstructions. In practice, this means more predictable yields and lower risks of underestimating energy production.
The bifacial dual-glass versions additionally allow for utilizing reflected light, which is significant on light-colored rooftops, ground installations, or industrial setups. The series also stands out for its PID resistance and optimized performance in low-light conditions, translating to better profitability during transitional seasons.
It is an excellent choice for premium home installations, commercial rooftops, and projects where high efficiency, durability, and operational safety are key.

Owners who want a long output guarantee.
Top 10% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 51.4. Ranked 1,442nd in the whole database.
Bottom 7% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs. Ranked 9,798th in the whole database.
The peak efficiency of 22.45% is on par with direct competitors (Emmvee Titanium White N-type 22.45%, ZNShine ZXM7-UHLD144 22.44%), placing the series among the absolute best available TOPCon modules. This allows more power to be harvested from limited roof space without any technological compromise.
The manufacturer guarantees degradation of ≤1% in Year 1 and ≤0.40%/year for the subsequent 29 years, resulting in a minimum of 87.4% of rated power after 30 years. Standard Tier-1 PERC panels (e.g., JA Solar, Trina) typically offer 25-year warranties with an 84.8% floor — STAR Pro delivers both a longer coverage period and a higher minimum power threshold.
The temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C outperforms the typical range of legacy P-type PERC cells (-0.35 to -0.45%/°C), meaningfully reducing power losses on hot days. EGing reports an approximately 3% increase in annual energy yield compared to P-type modules under equivalent climatic conditions.
The combination of half-cut cells and super multi-busbar (SMBB) technology reduces resistive losses and limits the impact of partial shading on the entire string. In practical residential installations featuring chimneys or dormers, effective shading affects fewer cells than in a conventional 60-cell full-cell module.
EGing PV has been in operation since 2003 and is the first publicly listed pure-play module manufacturer on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SHA: 600537). Its Tier-1/bankable status confirms its eligibility to support bank-financed projects on a non-recourse basis.
In 2024, EGing PV reported a net loss of approximately RMB 2.09 billion (~USD 288 million), accompanied by a 57% year-over-year revenue decline; its TOPCon facilities in Chuzhou (7.5 GW of capacity) were fully suspended in 2025 amid module capacity utilization of approximately 35%. Despite the completion of a pre-restructuring process and the securing of RMB 819 million in new financing (April 2026), the severe deterioration in profitability represents a material risk factor for honoring the 30-year power warranty — particularly for installations with long payback horizons.
- Efficiency of 22.0% matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- At 220.2 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 400-450W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- At 20.2 kg, this panel is 1.8 kg lighter than TOPCon 400-450W median (22.0 kg) - easier handling during installation
- In the top 45% for efficiency among all TOPCon panels
