Strong in heat, needs the roof space
DNA 144 Bifacial series panels set a new standard for efficiency thanks to patented Dual Nano Array technology, which effectively eliminates energy losses occurring inside the cells. The use of patented DNA architecture allows for higher efficiency even at high ambient temperatures, which directly translates into stable yields on summer afternoons. A key differentiator of the series is advanced cell bifaciality, which enables the absorption of light reflected from the ground, generating significantly more energy compared to monofacial modules of the same surface area. This solution is primarily dedicated to demanding ground-mounted installations and modern carport-type structures, where maximizing self-consumption is crucial. The design based on 144 half-cut cells reduces the impact of shading on the entire system-s operation, solving the problem of losses in less favorable lighting conditions. They are distinguished from the competition by above-average mechanical strength against wind and snow loads, as well as a reduced degradation rate, which guarantees the longevity of the investment. This is a professional choice for prosumers and companies focused on technical innovations that realistically increase the profitability of the photovoltaic system over years of operation.

Top 5% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 8,312th in the whole database.
Top 17% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of 25 yrs.
Bottom 21% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of 206.2.
Bottom 21% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of 20.60%.
Aptos Solar offers a 30-year warranty on both the product and linear power degradation – which is rare in the PERC segment, where most manufacturers (Trina, JA Solar) offer only a 25-year power warranty. This directly reduces the investment risk over the lifespan of the installation.
The Dual Nano Array (DNA) technology is a proprietary solution from the manufacturer that reduces recombination within PERC cells, according to Aptos Solar data, which improves efficiency and power stability at elevated ambient temperatures compared to standard PERC cells without this architecture.
The modules can withstand snow loads up to 5400 Pa and wind loads up to 4000 Pa – these parameters exceed typical industry minimums (2400/2400 Pa), making the series suitable for ground-mounted and carport installations in areas with harsh weather conditions.
The two-sided construction of the module allows for a rear surface reflectance ranging from 5–25%, depending on the albedo of the surface. The arrangement of 144 half-cut cells minimizes losses due to partial shading by dividing the cell strings into independent sections.
The DNA 144 Bifacial (440-450 Wp, PERC) series has been officially discontinued. This means limited availability of replacement modules, a lack of updated certifications, and potential difficulties with warranty service within the 30-year warranty period declared by the manufacturer.
The efficiency of this series is only 20.24–20.70%, while comparable direct products (SunKean/Sunket SKT430~450M10-108D5) achieve 23.04%, and Suntech Ultra V Pro mini – 22.5%. The difference of 2–3% translates into the need to install approximately 10–15% more modules for the same peak power.
PERC is a p-type technology that was largely replaced by TOPCon in 2024 as the dominant technology (TOPCon exceeded 66% of global production capacity). Compared to TOPCon, PERC exhibits a higher LID degradation rate and a lower bifaciality ratio (~70% vs ~85% for TOPCon), which limits the energy potential of a bifacial module design.
Aptos Solar (founded in 2019) is not listed on Bloomberg NEF's Tier 1 lists, which classifies it as a Tier 2 manufacturer. This impacts the bankability of solar projects – some financial institutions that fund PV projects require modules from Tier 1 manufacturers as a condition for providing non-recourse financing.
- At 20.2% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 400-450W modules
- 202.4 W/m² power density is 3.8 W/m² below PERC 400-450W median (206.2 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- -0.32%/°C temperature coefficient (median: -0.35%/°C) - retains ~1% more power at high temperatures
- At 24.1 kg (2.1 kg above PERC 400-450W median of 22.0 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- #11885 for efficiency, #8312 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
