Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The AIKO M-144 (182mm Cell) 530-550W Monofacial Module is designed to maximize energy yield from any available mounting surface, without compromising durability and aesthetics. A key advantage is the N-type ABC (All Back Contact) technology, in which all electrical connections are located on the back of the cell. This keeps the front free from shading by racking systems, which translates to better light utilization even in less sunny conditions.
In practice, this series helps address common investor concerns: higher power density on the roof, improved performance at elevated temperatures, and greater resistance to microcracks and degradation, which are characteristic of older technologies. It is a good choice for commercial and industrial installations, PV farms, and large roofs, where a quick return on investment and stable energy production over the long term are important. It stands out from the competition due to its front-side metallization-free design, which supports both performance and long-term reliability.

Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale and hot-climate.
Hot climates, owners who want a long output guarantee and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 9% of the PERC 500-550 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 12,345th in the whole database.
Bottom 23% of the PERC 500-550 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs.
Bottom 25% of the PERC 500-550 W segment, against a median of 209.0.
AIKO is listed on the BNEF Tier-1 list for Q1 2026 (one of ~2% of global producers), which directly reduces the financing costs for bank projects and meets the due diligence requirements of financial institutions funding PV farms and commercial installations.
The peak efficiency of this model reaches 21.3% – the same as the Goldi Solar GS10-B144-TF and S-Energy SL65-72BGJ, and higher than the IBC Solar 182M Half Cell (21.28%). This places the series among the top performers in comparable 182mm modules on the market.
A power density of 530–550W per 182mm module allows for a reduction in the number of modules and cable lengths in commercial and utility-scale installations, resulting in an estimated 3–5% reduction in BOS (Balance of System) costs compared to older 166mm formats, while maintaining the same system power.
The manufacturer guarantees power maintenance for 25 years – this is the standard for the segment, but with AIKO's Tier-1 status and the company's operations since 2009, the risk of a lack of an active service technician within that timeframe is significantly lower than with smaller suppliers.
The PERC technology exhibits a worse temperature coefficient (–0.35 to –0.40%/°C) compared to N-type TOPCon (–0.29 to –0.32%/°C) and shows a higher annual degradation rate (0.6–0.8% vs 0.4–0.5% for TOPCon). Over a 25-year lifespan, this difference translates to a significantly lower cumulative energy yield; by 2025–2026, TOPCon is already the standard price point in this power segment.
The 12-year product warranty is shorter than the 15 years offered by some Tier-1 manufacturers in the premium segment (e.g., LONGi Hi-MO 6, JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0 Pro). This reduces the warranty coverage for mechanical failures by 3 years for installations with a planned lifespan of 25+ years.
The absence of a rear glass prevents bifacial gain. In ground-mounted and rooftop installations with similarly sized modules, bifacial modules achieve 5–15% higher annual energy yield. Among comparable products, the Goldi Solar GS10-B144-TF offers a bifacial version with the same 550W power rating.
- At 20.7% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 500-550W modules
- Power density of 207.0 W/m² matches the PERC 500-550W median
- At -0.36%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for PERC 500-550W panels
- #10764 for efficiency, #12345 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
