The TPL M-60 series focuses on delivering high power density in a 60-cell format, making it one of the most versatile solutions for modern photovoltaics. Thanks to the use of high-purity silicon technology, these modules achieve excellent energy conversion results even in low-light conditions. A key differentiator is the anti-reflective tempered glass coating, which drastically reduces losses resulting from sunlight reflection, increasing real energy yield throughout the day. For Polish installers and investors, increased mechanical resistance to snow and wind loads is crucial, guaranteeing the structural safety of the system in difficult climatic conditions. The TPL M-60 series effectively solves the problem of limited roof space by offering an optimal power-to-size ratio. It is a solution dedicated primarily to the residential sector and small businesses, where high resistance to the PID effect and stability of electrical parameters over a long-term horizon are essential. What sets it apart from the competition is precise quality control and the use of materials that minimize cell degradation, ensuring a faster return on investment and operational peace of mind for decades.

About the TPL M-60 Series series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

Is the TPL M-60 series still available for purchase?
No, the TPL M-60 series has been discontinued and is no longer manufactured by TPL Solar. Distributors may still hold remaining stock, but availability is limited. If expanding an existing installation built with these modules, check remaining inventory with a local supplier first to ensure visual and electrical compatibility with panels already installed.
What warranty comes with TPL M-60 panels and what does it cover?
TPL M-60 panels come with a 12-year product warranty covering material and manufacturing defects, plus a 30-year power warranty guaranteeing a defined performance level over time. Since the series is discontinued, confirm with the seller whether the Pakistan-based manufacturer's warranty service is still active in your region before purchasing.
How does PERC technology in the TPL M-60 panels differ from standard monocrystalline cells?
PERC technology used in the TPL M-60 adds a passivation layer on the rear of the cell that reflects unused photons back into the silicon, increasing light absorption. This gives the panels higher energy conversion efficiency, especially in low-light conditions, compared to standard monocrystalline cells without this layer, while keeping production costs similar.
Are the 320W TPL M-60 panels suitable for a small residential rooftop installation?
Yes, the 320 Wp maximum power output in a 60-cell format makes the M-60 series well suited for rooftops with limited surface area, typical of single-family homes. The compact dimensions combined with high power density allow for greater total system capacity with fewer panels, which matters on irregular roof shapes or limited mounting space.
Are TPL M-60 panels resistant to snow loads in cold climates?
Yes, the M-60 series is engineered with enhanced mechanical resistance to snow and wind loads, relevant for regions with heavy winter conditions. The reinforced frame and tempered glass reduce the risk of structural damage during heavy snowfall, though it's advisable to also check roof pitch and local load-bearing codes when planning the installation.
Why aren't TPL M-60 panels bifacial, and is that a drawback?
TPL M-60 panels are monofacial modules, meaning they generate power only from light hitting the front surface. This isn't a drawback but a deliberate design choice for the residential segment, where sloped-roof mounting prevents any benefit from rear-side reflected light. Bifacial designs make more sense for ground-mount or flat-roof installations with reflective surroundings.
