The SV144M.5.1 series consists of monocrystalline PREMIUM modules designed and tested at the Polish R&D center of Selfa GE S.A. in Szczecin, giving the manufacturer tight quality control at every production stage. The panel is built on PERC cells with half-cut technology, reducing resistive losses and handling partial shading better than modules with full-size cells. The 10 busbar structure improves the reliability of electrical connections and lowers the risk of cell microcracks. The module stands out with its SELF-C self-cleaning coating, which helps dirt and rainwater run off the surface, keeping performance high even with limited access for maintenance. The design is PID free, meaning it resists potential-induced degradation, and the reinforced frame delivers strong resistance to wind, snow, and hail loads. Thanks to an exclusively positive power tolerance, installers can be confident that real-world output will never fall short of the rated values. The series works equally well on residential rooftop installations and larger commercial systems, where long-term reliability and nationwide service support matter most, backed by a 30-year linear power warranty and a 15-year product warranty.

Common questions

6 answered
Is the Selfa SV144M.5.1 series still available for purchase?
The SV144M.5.1 series has been discontinued from Selfa's current production lineup and replaced by newer models. Panels may still be available from distributors as remaining stock, so it's worth checking current availability with a local dealer. The manufacturer's warranties (30 years on power, 15 years on product) remain valid for modules already purchased and installed.
What is the maximum power output of the Selfa SV144M.5.1 panel and how many panels does a typical installation need?
Modules in the SV144M.5.1 series reach a maximum power output of up to 540 Wp. For a typical residential system of 5-6 kWp, around 9-11 panels are usually needed, depending on the specific power variant within the series. Thanks to a positive-only power tolerance, actual system performance will not fall below the values assumed in the design.
How do the PERC half-cut cells in the Selfa SV144M.5.1 differ from standard full-size cells?
Half-cut PERC cells are cut in half, which reduces resistive losses and improves heat dissipation compared to full-size cells. This design makes the panel more resilient to partial shading, for example from chimneys or antennas, since shading on one half of a cell has a smaller impact on the overall module output.
Are Selfa SV144M.5.1 panels suitable for roofs with limited access for cleaning?
Yes, these modules feature a SELF-C self-cleaning coating that helps rainwater carry away dust and dirt from the panel surface. This keeps the installation running at high efficiency even without regular maintenance, which is especially useful for hard-to-reach pitched roofs or low-slope roof sections.
What warranty comes with Selfa SV144M.5.1 panels and what does it cover?
The manufacturer provides a 15-year product warranty covering material and workmanship defects, plus a 30-year linear power warranty guaranteeing sustained module performance over time. The panels are designed and tested at Selfa GE S.A.'s R&D center in Szczecin, Poland, with warranty service available throughout the country.
Is the Selfa SV144M.5.1 construction resistant to PID degradation and harsh weather conditions?
Yes, the modules are fully PID free, meaning they resist potential-induced degradation, which causes efficiency loss over time in some panels. A reinforced frame additionally provides high mechanical resistance to wind, snow, and hail loads, making the series suitable for both residential rooftops and larger commercial installations.
