Middle of its segment, needs the roof space
The Ultra X series consists of bifacial half-cut modules engineered to maximize energy yield while minimizing losses caused by current mismatch. The panels are built on large D-type silicon wafers using PERC cell technology combined with high-density cell packaging and multi-busbar technology, which shortens the lateral current path and effectively reduces resistive losses. Suntech's proprietary current sorting process further limits discrepancies between individual cells, resulting in higher and more stable overall system power output. The bifacial design allows the module to capture additional light reflected from the ground, boosting installation productivity without increasing the footprint. The series also stands out for its excellent low-light performance - on cloudy days, in the morning, or at sunset, the panels continue to generate noticeably more energy than conventional designs. The modules have passed extended wind and snow load resistance testing, making them a solid choice for installations in demanding climates, including coastal, farmland, and desert environments. Low annual power degradation combined with a 30-year linear warranty make Ultra X a fitting solution for investors in commercial projects and large-scale ground-mount installations who expect predictable returns throughout the system's operating lifetime.

- Module efficiency of 20.7% is 1.1pp below average for database panels (median: 21.8%)
- Power density of 206.7 W/m² is 11.4 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- -0.34%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.04pp worse than database median (-0.30%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- At 31.5 kg, this panel is 5.0 kg heavier than the database median (26.5 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- Ranked #10842 out of 14129 panels for efficiency in the database
