Seraphim Sable 430-445W (TOPCon 182mm) is a series of modules designed for high energy yields in real-world conditions - not just in laboratory settings. The use of N-type TOPCon cells helps to minimize degradation-related losses, ensuring that the installation maintains stable energy production for longer. The glass-glass bifacial construction is also noteworthy, as it can utilize reflected light from the ground - a practical advantage on bright roofs, during ground mounting, or on structures with good reflectivity.

The Sable series is distinguished by half-cut technology and multi-busbar design, which improves performance under partial shading and enhances resistance to microcracks and localized overheating. Another advantage is excellent performance in low light, which translates to higher yields in the morning, evening, and on cloudy days.

This is a good choice for residential and commercial installations where predictable production, durability, and easy integration with modern inverters and optimizers are important.

Common questions

6 answered
What warranty does the Seraphim Sable 430-445W series come with?
Seraphim provides a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power output warranty on the Sable series. The linear guarantee means the manufacturer commits to a specified minimum power level for three full decades. Because N-type TOPCon cells degrade more slowly than PERC, real-world output after 20-30 years typically exceeds the guaranteed minimum.
How well does the Seraphim Sable TOPCon 445W perform in cloudy or low-light conditions?
The Sable series delivers excellent low-light performance. N-type TOPCon cells convert diffuse and indirect irradiance more efficiently than older PERC technology. In practice this means higher yields in the early morning, late afternoon, and on overcast days — a measurable advantage in Central and Northern European climates where clear skies cannot be counted on year-round.
What is the difference between TOPCon and PERC, and is the Seraphim Sable worth the premium?
TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is an N-type cell technology that achieves higher module efficiency (up to ~22.5%) and lower annual degradation rates than standard PERC. For a 10–15 kWp rooftop system this can translate into several percent more annual energy output and significantly better long-term yield retention — making the price premium reasonable for most residential and commercial installations with a 25-30 year horizon.
What are the dimensions and weight of the Seraphim Sable 445W panel — will it fit on a standard pitched roof?
The Seraphim Sable 445W measures approximately 1722 × 1134 × 28 mm and weighs around 21 kg — standard sizing for 182mm-cell modules. A 10 kWp system (about 22–23 panels) requires roughly 40–45 m² of roof area, which fits a typical residential pitched roof without structural modifications. The half-cut and multi-busbar design also improves resistance to microcracks during transport and installation.
Are Seraphim Sable panels compatible with inverters and MPPT optimizers from popular brands?
Yes. The Sable series is compatible with standard string and hybrid inverters available on the European market, including SMA, Fronius, SolarEdge, Huawei, Deye, and Growatt. The 1500V DC maximum system voltage and standard short-circuit current ratings allow flexible string design. The panels also work seamlessly with MPPT optimizers, which is especially useful when partial shading from chimneys, dormers, or trees cannot be avoided.
What are the benefits of the glass-glass construction in the Seraphim Sable series, and who should care?
The glass-glass encapsulation replaces the standard backsheet with a second glass layer, significantly improving resistance to moisture ingress, PID (potential induced degradation), and mechanical stress. This is particularly valuable for ground-mount systems, high-humidity environments, and coastal locations. For rooftop installations it translates into longer module lifespan and a lower risk of warranty issues caused by structural damage to the module body.
