Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Rarlon PV Tech RL340HP-360HP-144 series consists of modules based on a 144 polycrystalline cell array, designed for stable operation in real-world conditions, including those where the installation is exposed to temperature fluctuations and the typical Polish periods of reduced sunlight. The design utilizes tempered glass and an anodized aluminum frame, which helps to minimize the risk of mechanical damage during transport and installation, and also facilitates long-term operation on rooftops or on the ground. A key advantage of this series is its positive power tolerance, which makes it easier to maintain the predictable performance of the entire string. The modules are designed for high-voltage systems, which will be appreciated by designers of larger systems and installers focused on optimizing wiring and minimizing losses. This is a sensible choice for single-family homes, small businesses, and commercial installations, where durability, consistent performance, and reliable operation over many years are important.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, tight roof space and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 15% of the PERC 300-350 W segment, against a median of -0.360.
Bottom 19% of the PERC 300-350 W segment, against a median of 19.00%.
Bottom 20% of the PERC 300-350 W segment, against a median of 190.0.
Modules feature a positive power tolerance, reducing the risk of underrated string output and making inverter sizing and yield forecasting more predictable for system designers.
Tempered front glass and an anodized aluminum frame increase resistance to damage during transport, installation, and long-term exposure on roof or ground-mount systems, which matters for field crews handling frequent installs.
The panels support high system voltage operation, allowing longer strings and fewer inverters/thicker DC cabling runs to be avoided in larger commercial installations.
The RL340HP-360HP-144 series has been on the market since 2019 and remains in active production, giving it a multi-year field track record and available service documentation from the manufacturer (Ningbo Rarlon Photovoltaic Technology).
The panels hold TUV, CE, and ISO9001 certifications, meeting standard formal requirements for subsidized installations and allowing legal use in EU residential prosumer systems.
Efficiency of 16.9-17.9% is noticeably lower than comparable 360 Wp modules: Corab Encor EC360M-6-120FB (19.27%), Bisol Spectrum (18%), and Just Solar IBC Mono (21.3%). At the same rated power, the Rarlon module requires a larger roof footprint.
Rarlon PV Tech (Ningbo Rarlon Photovoltaic Technology) does not appear on publicly confirmed BNEF Tier-1 lists, unlike better-established brands such as Bisol. This may require extra due diligence from institutional buyers or bank-financed projects.
- At 17.1% efficiency, this panel is 2.3pp below the PERC 0-400W median of 19.4%
- At 171.5 W/m², this panel generates 22.9 W/m² less per unit area than PERC 0-400W median (194.4 W/m²)
- -0.39%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.03pp worse than PERC 0-400W median (-0.36%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- Weight of 22.5 kg is 2.0 kg above PERC 0-400W median (20.5 kg) - verify structural support
