Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The NEXUS series is Philadelphia Solar's answer to the growing demand for modules that combine high performance with real resilience in demanding installation conditions. The panels are built on N-type TOPCon half-cut cells, which reduces losses from partial shading and delivers more stable module operation throughout its service life. The use of 16 busbar technology improves current collection and limits microcracking, making the panel better suited to withstand transport, installation, and thermal cycling. A defining feature of the series is its bifacial dual-sided energy generation with a transparent rear sheet, enabling additional harvest of light reflected from the ground - particularly beneficial on light-colored roofs, ground-mount installations, and utility-scale solar farms. NEXUS is well suited for commercial and industrial projects as well as large freestanding installations, where a lower cost of energy in terms of LCOE is a priority. Its reinforced construction with thicker front glass provides strong mechanical resistance to snow and wind loads. The series is backed by a long-term linear power warranty with very low annual degradation, making it a solid choice for investors expecting predictable returns over several decades.

Utility-scale, commercial and shaded-installations.
Weight-limited structures.
Bottom 12% of the N-type 550-600 W segment, against a median of 52.3.
Half-cut N-type cells combined in a 16-busbar layout reduce partial-shading losses and lower the risk of microcracks during transport and installation, resulting in more stable module performance over the operating lifetime.
The transparent rear panel enables additional energy harvest from light reflected off the ground, with a manufacturer-stated bifacial gain of up to 25%. This is especially cost-effective on light-colored roofs, ground-mount installations, and utility-scale PV farms.
This result places NEXUS essentially on par with the Recom Lynx (23.52%) and clearly above the Tongwei 72HD580-600W (23.2%) and Talesun BISTAR TP7F78M (21.5%), making it one of the most efficient modules in the compared peer set.
An annual degradation rate of 0.4% guarantees 94.6% of rated power after 12 years and 87.4% after 30 years - performance typical of top-tier N-type modules and notably better than older PERC generations with 25-year warranties and higher power loss.
Thicker front glass together with a 5400 Pa front / 2400 Pa rear load rating provide high resistance to snow and wind loads, which is important for installations in more demanding climates.
Philadelphia Solar has operated since 2007 and holds Tier-1 bankable status, easing project financing for commercial and utility-scale installations using the NEXUS module.
Depending on the variant, product warranty ranges from 12 to 25 years, meaning cheaper or earlier variants in the lineup carry a significantly shorter coverage period than competing Tier-1 N-type modules, which increasingly offer a standard 25-year product warranty across all variants.
- Efficiency of 22.5% matches the N-type 550-600W median
- At 224.4 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for N-type 550-600W panels
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for N-type 550-600W panels
- At 32.5 kg (3.0 kg above N-type 550-600W median of 29.5 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
