Strong in heat, short guarantee
The Mission Solar PERC Bifacial 144HC Transparent Backsheet series is designed for installations where maximizing real energy yield is crucial, even under less-than-ideal conditions. The use of a bifacial design with a transparent backsheet allows for the utilization of reflected light from the ground, making the modules more efficient on bright roofs, membranes, and PV farms with well-matched surfaces.
The PERC cell technology in a half-cut configuration also helps minimize losses and improves performance under partial shading - which is important in complex roof geometries or in close proximity to eaves. The modules are also designed for demanding environments: high resistance to loads and harsh weather conditions makes it easier to plan installations in wind and snow zones.
This solution is particularly suitable for commercial and utility projects, where the advantages lie in the stability of parameters, predictable production, and long-term durability, rather than just the declared power.

Owners who want a long output guarantee.
Top 12% of the PERC 550-600 W segment, against a median of -0.350.
Top 18% of the PERC 550-600 W segment, against a median of 21.29%.
Bottom 24% of the PERC 550-600 W segment, against a median of 27 yrs.
Modules are designed and assembled at Mission Solar's San Antonio, Texas facility, qualifying them for the IRA domestic content bonus - an additional 10 percentage points on ITC/PTC for US commercial and utility projects, where the domestic content threshold is 45% in 2025 and rises to 50% in 2026.
Efficiency up to 21.69% exceeds comparable series: ET Solar Elite PLUS (21.4%), JA Solar DEEP BLUE 3.0 (21.5%), and Boviet Solar VEGA (21.3%) at the same 555 Wp max power.
The bifacial construction with a transparent backsheet captures light reflected off the ground, boosting real-world yield on bright roofs, roofing membranes, and ground-mount installations with favorable albedo.
The half-cut layout (144 half-cells) reduces resistive losses and improves partial-shading tolerance, relevant for complex roof geometries or shadows cast by parapets and chimneys.
Per the datasheet, the module withstands a design load of 3600 Pa front and 1600 Pa rear with a 1.5 safety factor, easing deployment in demanding wind and snow-load zones.
Mission Solar is not on the Bloomberg NEF Tier-1 list due to its manufacturing scale, which can complicate bank financing for large commercial and utility-scale projects - the very segment this series is marketed toward.
The series relies on older PERC cell technology, while Mission Solar itself has already launched an N-type 108HC line (MSX10), and the commercial module market in 2024-2026 is increasingly shifting to TOPCon for lower LID/LeTID degradation and better high-temperature performance.
The 25-year linear power warranty (12-year product warranty) matches market standard but falls short of the extended 30-year warranties increasingly offered by N-type module manufacturers in the premium segment.
- Efficiency of 21.5% matches the PERC 550-600W median
- At 212.9 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for PERC 550-600W panels
- At -0.34%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for PERC 550-600W panels
- At 28.2 kg, this panel is 2.6 kg lighter than PERC 550-600W median (30.8 kg) - easier handling during installation
- #7958 for efficiency, #8775 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
