Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
Luxor Solar ECO LINE N-TYPE TOPCON GLASS-GLASS BIFACIAL is a series of modules that sets new standards for durability and efficiency in modern PV systems. The use of advanced N-Type TOPCon cells allows for a radical reduction in light-induced degradation, which guarantees stable energy production for many years. Thanks to the unique Glass-Glass structure, these panels exhibit extreme resistance to mechanical loads and aggressive environmental factors, making them an ideal choice for installations in difficult weather conditions. The bifacial technology used enables light absorption from both sides of the module, significantly increasing the total energy yield, especially on bright surfaces. This series solves the problem of efficiency drops at high temperatures, offering an excellent temperature coefficient. It is dedicated to both prosumers focusing on the highest quality and investors building farms with maximum profitability. What distinguishes these modules from the competition is the maximum fire protection class and exceptional structural stability, which eliminates the risk of micro-cracks. By choosing this solution, the user gains the certainty of trouble-free operation and higher self-consumption thanks to better performance in diffused light conditions. An innovative anti-reflective coating further increases photon absorption, which translates into real financial savings throughout the entire life cycle of the solar power plant.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential and commercial.
Weight-limited structures and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 13% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 51.4.
Bottom 19% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 220.2.
The series' peak efficiency (22.35%) exceeds direct peers in this power class: Silfab Elite (21.9%), EGing PV STAR Pro (22.02%), and Boviet Solar GAMMA (19.8%). For the same roof area, this translates into a genuinely higher energy yield.
Luxor guarantees a 30-year product warranty and a linear power warranty retaining at least 89% output at year 30. This is longer and offers a higher end-of-term floor than, for example, Silfab (25-year product warranty, 82.6% power at year 30) or typical 25-year warranties from PERC-based manufacturers.
N-type TOPCon cells show lower LID degradation and a better temperature coefficient than PERC, while the bifacial glass-glass construction adds rear-side yield and increases mechanical resistance — per the official datasheet, up to 5400 Pa snow load and 2400 Pa wind load.
Luxor Solar has operated since 2007 and is headquartered in Germany, representing over 15 years of manufacturing experience along with compliance with EU quality standards and closer service support for European customers.
Despite marketing copy suggesting 'maximum fire protection class', the official series datasheet lists fire safety class C under IEC 61730, not the highest class A. This can be a meaningful limitation for installations requiring class A, such as roofs near property boundaries or in dense urban settings.
Luxor Solar does not appear on the BloombergNEF Tier-1 list, unlike some comparable manufacturers (e.g., Silfab). This can complicate bank financing for large-scale PV farms, even though the module's technical specs (efficiency, warranty) are competitive.
- Efficiency of 21.8% matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- At 215.1 W/m², this panel generates 5.1 W/m² less per unit area than TOPCon 400-450W median (220.2 W/m²)
- At -0.30%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 400-450W panels
- At 24.0 kg (2.0 kg above TOPCon 400-450W median of 22.0 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
