Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The SHARK Bifacial series is Loom Solar's answer to rising expectations for photovoltaic panels installed on roofs and ground surfaces with high light reflectivity. The panels use N-Type TOPCon cells in a half-cut configuration together with 16 busbars, resulting in more even current distribution, lower resistive losses, and greater cell durability compared to conventional PERC technology. The series' biggest advantage, however, is its bifacial dual-sided design - the module generates energy from both the front and rear side, so on reflective surfaces (grass, white roofing, light-colored concrete) an installation can produce anywhere from a few percent up to over twenty percent more energy than a standard monofacial panel. The dual-glass construction along with an IP68-rated housing provides added protection against moisture, microcracking, and light-induced degradation, directly translating into a lower LCOE over the system's lifetime. The SHARK Bifacial series is especially appealing for ground-mounted installations, solar farms, and industrial sites, where maximizing energy yield from limited mounting area matters, while also demanding strong resilience to harsh operating conditions and long-term performance guarantees.

Residential and commercial.
Weight-limited structures, tight roof space and roofs where every square metre has to count.
Bottom 7% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 53.8. Ranked 11,535th in the whole database.
Bottom 11% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 22.44%.
Bottom 12% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 224.4.
The use of N-type TOPCon half-cut cells with 16 busbars delivers lower LID/LeTID degradation and reduced resistive losses compared to older PERC panels, translating into higher and more stable energy yield over the module's lifetime.
Two-sided power generation can add up to roughly 10-25% extra output on highly reflective surfaces (grass, light-colored concrete), while the IP68-rated dual-glass enclosure improves resistance to moisture and microcracks.
The manufacturer offers a 30-year linear power output warranty, matching the longest terms offered by leading players in the segment such as Trina Solar and JinkoSolar in their flagship TOPCon lines.
Shark Bifacial has been in continuous production since 2021 (series_info.discontinued = false), meaning parts availability, service support, and a field-track record confirming the technology's stability under real-world conditions.
Loom Solar (founded 2018) crossed INR 1,000 crore in turnover in 2026 and is expanding module manufacturing capacity to 1.2 GW, improving supply chain availability and price competitiveness in the Indian and export markets.
Efficiency of 21.29-22.07% is lower than direct peer comparables in this power class (up to 570 Wp) - Horay Solar HS 191R-132 TC Basin reaches 23% and Silfab Commercial NTC 22.3% - meaning a larger installed area is needed for the same installed power.
The manufacturing defect warranty is 12 years, while leading TOPCon manufacturers (Trina Solar's TrinaProtect program, JinkoSolar) now standardly offer a 25-year product warranty in 2026, making this line less competitive on this parameter despite the matching 30-year power warranty.
Loom Solar does not appear on BloombergNEF's Tier 1 manufacturer list (Q2 2026), unlike more established brands in the comparable segment such as Silfab, which can matter for bank financing of larger commercial and ground-mount projects.
- Module efficiency of 21.7% is 0.8pp below average for TOPCon 550-600W panels (median: 22.4%)
- At 216.8 W/m², this panel generates 7.6 W/m² less per unit area than TOPCon 550-600W median (224.4 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C matches the TOPCon 550-600W median
- Weight of 32.5 kg is 1.3 kg above TOPCon 550-600W median (31.2 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
