Middle of its segment, modest efficiency
The Lina Energy LE MEPV 108 Coloured BIPV series consists of modules designed for both aesthetic appeal and real energy production - without the compromises often associated with purely decorative solutions. A key advantage is the architectural integration of BIPV: the panel should look like a standard roof element, rather than an additional installation, making it easier to meet the expectations of investors and architects in premium projects and building renovations.
The use of monocrystalline solar cells and half-cut technology improves tolerance to partial shading, which is important on roofs with dormers, chimneys, or dense surroundings. Furthermore, the anti-reflective coating on the glass reduces light reflection, further enhancing the discreet appearance of the roof.
The series also stands out for its good performance in low-light conditions - in practice, it helps maintain a more stable energy production in the morning, evening, and on cloudy days. This solution is ideal for single-family homes, residential developments, and buildings where aesthetics, compliance with the design, and predictable energy yield are important.

Signals from the data
Residential, BIPV and shaded-installations.
Tight roof space, roofs where every square metre has to count and weight-limited structures.
Bottom 11% of the 250-450 W band, against a median of 20.74%.
Bottom 11% of the 250-450 W band, against a median of 207.4.
Bottom 24% of the 250-450 W band, against a median of 54.4.
The module is designed to visually read as a roofing element rather than a separate installation - a real advantage in premium projects and retrofits where the investor or architect requires a cohesive facade aesthetic.
The use of monocrystalline half-cut cells reduces output loss under partial shading (chimneys, dormers), leading to more stable yield on roofs with complex geometry.
Reduced light reflection supports a discreet appearance on the roof surface, an important selling point in the BIPV segment, where aesthetics are a key selection criterion alongside electrical parameters.
A linear power warranty of up to 30 years combined with a 20-year product warranty sits at the upper end of the BIPV segment, giving investors a longer payback horizon than the typical 25-year power warranties offered by some manufacturers.
The module design supports more stable energy production in the morning, evening, and on cloudy days, which is practically relevant for real annual yield in temperate climates such as Poland.
At the same maximum power of 360 Wp, the series' efficiency (17.92-18.44%) trails Corab's Encor EC360M-6-120FB (19.27%) by roughly 0.8-1.3 pp - meaning a larger module area is needed to reach the same power output, which can limit mounting options on smaller roof sections.
Lina Energy has operated since 2017, which - compared to more established Tier-1 brands with a decade or more of market presence - means a shorter documented history of honoring long-term warranties, including the 30-year power warranty.
- Efficiency of 17.9% is 0.5pp below the BIPV 0-400W median (18.4%)
- At 179.2 W/m², this panel generates 5.2 W/m² less per unit area than BIPV 0-400W median (184.4 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C matches the BIPV 0-400W median
- In the top 95% for efficiency among all BIPV panels
