Strong in heat, modest efficiency
Huasun 64 Half-cell Agrivoltaics HJT Module is an innovative solution designed with the synergy of agriculture and modern solar energy in mind. This series is based on HJT heterojunction technology, which provides unrivaled efficiency and an excellent temperature coefficient, resulting in stable energy yields even on hot days. A key distinguishing feature of the modules is their high transparency, allowing for precise management of light access for crops located directly beneath the installation. Thanks to the bifacial dual-glass design, the panels effectively utilize light reflected from the ground, significantly increasing the total power production from a given area. This series solves the key problem of limited land availability, enabling dual land use - for agricultural purposes and professional clean energy generation. Compared to standard modules, the Huasun solution offers higher resistance to PID degradation and better durability in demanding rural environments. This is a product dedicated to conscious investors and farms striving to maximize profits while protecting plants from violent weather phenomena. By choosing these modules, you gain the certainty that the technology works in full harmony with nature, without limiting the production potential of the Polish land.

HJT technology delivers a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, compared to -0.35-0.40%/°C for PERC and -0.30-0.40%/°C for TOPCon modules. In agrivoltaic deployments where modules operate under full irradiance for extended hours during summer, this advantage translates into measurably higher energy yield on hot days.
The bifacial design (bifaciality factor >90%) combined with a frameless glass-glass laminate captures reflected irradiance from the ground, mulch, or vegetation. In agrivoltaic installations with light-colored substrates (mulch, snow, pale soil), rear-side gain can reach 5-15% above equivalent monofacial modules at the same STC rating.
The module transmits 32% of visible light, targeting the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) band. Per Huasun's technical documentation, the proprietary light-conversion film technology achieves higher PAR distribution beneath the array than competing agri-PV modules that require ≥39% bulk transparency to reach equivalent crop-level irradiance.
Huasun provides a 30-year linear performance warranty - on par with leading Tier-1 manufacturers such as LONGi and Jinko. For agrivoltaic projects typically financed over 25-30-year debt terms, this warranty directly supports LCOE modeling and lender bankability assessments.
Huasun has held BNEF Tier-1 bankable manufacturer status since Q1 2023 and maintained it through Q1 2025. As the world's largest HJT module manufacturer (20 GW installed capacity, deliveries to 80+ countries), it meets the supply chain reliability and after-sales support criteria required by project finance institutions.
Efficiency of 14.3-14.8% is the lowest among all peer comparables: Hiwatt Solar HW-P360H reaches 17.8%, AE Solar Terra E CMD-72BD - 15.39%, Solar-Fabrik Mono S4 Halfcut - 15.11%. The reduced power density (W/m²) is an inherent consequence of the module's transparency design; however, in agrivoltaic installations with constrained roof or land area, this results in approximately 15-20% lower total energy output per unit area compared to full-cell modules.
The product (materials & workmanship) warranty covers only 15 years, while leading Tier-1 manufacturers (LONGi, Jinko, JA Solar) standardly offer 25-year product warranties, and some HJT specialists provide up to 30 years. For agrivoltaic projects with a 25-30-year operational horizon, the shorter product warranty increases the risk of post-year-15 O&M costs.
Huasun Energy was founded in July 2020, giving it roughly 5 years of operating history while issuing 30-year power warranties. The lack of a long-term financial track record remains a residual risk for project finance banks and warranty insurers evaluating the sustainability of warranty obligations - despite the company's BNEF Tier-1 designation in Q1 2025.
- At 14.5% efficiency, this panel is 6.1pp below the HJT 0-400W median of 20.6%
- Power density of 145.1 W/m² is 61.3 W/m² below HJT 0-400W median (206.4 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C matches the HJT 0-400W median
- Bifacial design (90% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-14% yield on ground-mount or white roof
- In the top 99% for efficiency among all HJT panels
