Strong in heat, heavy for its output
The Horay Solar HS 210R-108 TC-D Cosmos series are bifacial N-type modules designed to maximize energy yield in installations where every square meter counts. Thanks to their bifacial design, these panels can also effectively utilize reflected light from the ground, which significantly increases production in ground-mounted, flat-roof, and carport systems. The use of half-cell technology in combination with SMBB (multi-busbar) improves current collection and reduces thermal losses, leading to more stable operation in demanding conditions. A key advantage of this series is high efficiency in low-light conditions, which is important in the Polish climate, as well as the naturally low susceptibility of N-type cells to LID degradation, which helps maintain the long-term profitability of the investment. These modules are suitable for C&I (Commercial & Industrial) investors and PV farms that want to achieve better yields without compromising on durability and environmental resistance.

Weight-limited structures.
Top 11% of the TOPCon 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.290.
Bottom 21% of the TOPCon 450-500 W segment, against a median of 52.2.
The highest-power variant reaches 23.1% module efficiency, matching Sunpro Power TOPCon 210R Bifacial (23.17%) and Huasun Aurora Pro (23.17%) while clearly outperforming Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu6 (22.8%). Within the 108-cell 210R class, this places the series among the top performers available on the market (2024–2025).
N-type cells exhibit significantly lower LID degradation rates than PERC, while SMBB (≥16 busbar) architecture reduces resistive losses by shortening current paths. The half-cut layout limits the impact of partial shading on the full module output, which is practically relevant for ground-mount and carport installations with terrain obstacles.
Per the datasheet of the comparable Cosmos series (HS210R-096TC-D), the manufacturer guarantees at least 87.4% of rated power after 30 years and 99% after year 1. Canadian Solar's TOPBiHiKu6 also offers a 30-year power warranty but does not publicly disclose the minimum percentage threshold for that period. An 87.4%/30-year floor translates directly into a lower LCOE over a 25–30-year investment horizon.
The glass-to-glass construction enables albedo harvesting from ground reflection; with a typical bifaciality factor of ~80% and albedo of 0.25–0.30 (concrete/light gravel), the realistic energy gain reaches 8–14% in ground-mount and carport systems. On flat rooftops with white TPO/PVC membranes the gain can exceed 10%, directly improving project ROI.
Horay Solar was listed on BloombergNEF's Tier 1 module manufacturer list in Q1 2025, meeting the requirement of documented non-recourse financing for ≥6 projects of ≥10 MW each by ≥6 different banks. Tier 1 status is a standard prerequisite for project financing at Polish and EU utility-scale and C&I PV projects, removing a key bankability barrier.
Horay Solar reports manufacturing capacity of approximately 2.5 GW/year, while Tier-1 peers active in Poland operate at 20–90 GW/year (Canadian Solar ~30 GW, JinkoSolar ~90 GW). For PV farms above 5–10 MWp, this may complicate negotiating long-term supply agreements (LTAs) and limit access to dedicated in-country warranty service infrastructure in Central Europe.
The 0.9 pp gap between the lowest (495 Wp, 22.2%) and highest (515 Wp, 23.1%) variants is wide for a 5-variant series in this power class; the 22.2% lower bin falls below the peer comparable median (Canadian Solar 22.8%, Sunpro/Huasun 23.17%). Without specifying a minimum power variant in purchase orders, buyers risk receiving modules with below-market median efficiency.
- At 22.2% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical TOPCon 450-500W modules
- At 222.7 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 450-500W panels
- At -0.28%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 450-500W panels
- Weight of 27.0 kg is 3.0 kg above TOPCon 450-500W median (24.0 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
