Efficiency leader, weak in heat
The Heckert Solar Apollon 1.0 108 M series is an advanced solution based on innovative N-type TOPCon cell technology, which redefines efficiency standards in European photovoltaics. By utilizing 108 half-cut cells, these panels effectively minimize energy losses caused by shading, translating into significantly more stable yields in variable Polish climate conditions. A key differentiator of this line is production carried out entirely in Germany, which provides investors with rigorous quality control and a smaller carbon footprint compared to components imported from Asia. These modules solve the problem of premature power degradation, guaranteeing excellent performance parameters even after many years of intensive use. For the end customer, this means maximum energy yield from a smaller roof area, which is crucial for projects with limited mounting space. Apollon 1.0 108 M is the ideal choice for single-family homes and modern office buildings, where uncompromising reliability and aesthetic workmanship matter. What distinguishes this series from the competition is, above all, exceptional resistance to mechanical loads and precise component fitting, which ensures higher safety for the entire photovoltaic installation without the risk of dangerous micro-cracks.

Heckert Solar is the only active PV module manufacturer that carries out its entire production process exclusively in Germany (facilities in Chemnitz and Langenwetzendorf). This translates into rigorous TÜV-compliant quality control and a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to modules imported from Asia — an increasingly important factor for projects subject to ESG requirements.
N-type TOPCon technology delivers a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.32%/°C, a clear advantage over typical PERC modules (-0.35 to -0.40%/°C). Under Polish summer conditions (module temperature ~65°C), this translates to 1–3% higher energy yield compared to older technology at the same rated power.
N-type cells eliminate the LID (Light-Induced Degradation) phenomenon characteristic of P-type technology. The manufacturer specifies first-year degradation of ≤2%, followed by a maximum of 0.45% per year thereafter. The 25-year power output warranty ensures retention of >88% of rated power at the end of the warranty period.
The 108-cell half-cut design reduces resistive losses and limits shading impact to a single cell row. In Poland's climate — characterized by frequent cloud cover and seasonal shading — this results in more stable annual energy yield compared to full-cell modules.
The series ships factory-fitted with genuine Stäubli MC4 EVO2 connectors (IP68-rated, low contact resistance), the industry's premium connector standard. This eliminates the risk of arc-fault-induced fires at the connector — one of the most common causes of PV system failures.
The maximum efficiency of 22.3% is 0.56 percentage points lower than the Luxor ECO LINE N-TYPE TOPCon Non-Reflect (22.86%) and 0.23 percentage points lower than the Seraphim Nebula (22.53%) at the same rated power of 440 Wp. For installations with severely constrained roof area, this difference may be decisive in favor of an alternative series.
The product warranty stands at 15 years, whereas the same manufacturer's newer Heckert Zeus series already offers a 30-year product warranty, and 25 years is increasingly the premium standard within the TOPCon segment. For investors planning a 25+ year system lifetime, the shorter product warranty represents a tangible financial risk.
In 2024, Heckert Solar reduced its workforce by approximately 95 employees (from ~300 to ~200) under pricing pressure from Chinese imports. Despite no insolvency risk and continued production through 2025–2026, the reduced operational scale may affect module availability for large orders and service response times compared to Asian Tier-1 manufacturers.
- Efficiency of 22.3% matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- Power density of 222.7 W/m² matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- -0.32%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.03pp worse than TOPCon 400-450W median (-0.29%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- #5100 for efficiency, #8312 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
