Middle of its segment, short guarantee
The Hanersun Hitouch 5 HN18-72H (535-555W) series has been designed to maximize energy yield while maintaining high compatibility with popular mounting solutions and installation designs. The use of PERC monocrystalline cells in a 182 mm format, along with the half-cut configuration, allows for reduced losses and improved performance in partially shaded conditions, which is particularly important on roofs with complex geometries. Thanks to the MBB technology, the module more effectively collects current from the cell surface, while the high-density encapsulation with minimal spacing between cells results in a larger active surface area. A key feature of the series is also the round cable assemblies, which improve light utilization and provide more stable operation in variable sunlight conditions. The Hitouch 5 HN18-72H is suitable for commercial and industrial installations, as well as for larger rooftop and ground-mounted systems, where predictability, resistance to hotspots, and easier logistics are important compared to modules with even larger formats.

Splitting cells in half reduces resistive losses and improves partial-shading tolerance, while Multi-Busbar (MBB) technology lowers series resistance and minimizes microcracks. The 182 mm format ensures broad compatibility with widely deployed racking systems (Schletter, K2, Esdec), simplifying project logistics.
The circular cross-section of round wire busbars widens the effective light-acceptance angle and reduces optical shading on the cell surface compared to flat ribbons, improving yield at low solar angles — a meaningful advantage for installations at latitudes typical of Poland (approx. 50–55°N).
The manufacturer guarantees ≥84.8% retention of nominal power output after 25 years, with a linear degradation rate of ~0.55%/year (years 2–25), in line with market standards for the PERC segment. The product warranty covers 12 years.
Minimized inter-cell gaps increase the module's active working area and reduce reflective losses between cells, translating to higher specific yield per unit of module area compared to older designs with wider cell spacing.
Production ended after approximately two years of market availability (2021–2023). The discontinuation of this PERC line means limited availability of replacement modules, a risk of electrical parameter mismatch when replacing individual units, and potential serviceability challenges over the long operational horizon (25-year power warranty).
At the same power class (535 W), the Renesola RS5-535NBG-E2 and Heliene 132HC M10 achieve 22.53% efficiency — a difference of ~1.82 percentage points. This means the Hanersun module requires approximately 2.58 m² versus ~2.38 m² for competing products at identical rated power, which is a real constraint on rooftops with limited usable area.
Hanersun has replaced this series with the Hitouch 5N modules (N-type TOPCon, up to 23.2% efficiency, temperature coefficient Pmax approx. -0.29%/°C vs. -0.35%/°C for this PERC series). Opting for the older technology means higher performance losses on hot days and lower annual energy yield at the same nominal power rating.
- Efficiency of 20.7% matches the PERC 500-550W median
- At 207.1 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for PERC 500-550W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C matches the PERC 500-550W median
