Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Bruk-Bet NIVO EXTREME series is designed for applications where the combination of photovoltaics with lightweight construction and high mechanical strength is crucial. A key advantage is the ultra-thin, chemically tempered solar glass used in glass-glass modules - this makes the panel noticeably slimmer while also providing resistance to deformation and sudden loads. This effectively solves the problem of mounting limitations where standard, heavier modules can be problematic.
NIVO EXTREME also offers greater flexibility in integration with buildings (BIPV) - modules can be incorporated into various types of roofing and lightweight structures, which will be appreciated by investors who prioritize aesthetics and functionality. Depending on the configuration, mono or polycrystalline modules are available, including those with PERC technology, which helps maintain stable performance in typical roof conditions.
This is a series for those building modern homes, architects, and companies installing systems where low weight, durability, and project suitability are important. The modules are also produced to individual order, which makes it easier to tailor the solution to a specific project.

Module efficiency matches the Panasonic HIT.+ N340 (20.3%) and HIT® N340 (20.4%), which have long served as the global benchmark for the premium segment. At the same time, NIVO EXTREME outperforms the comparable JA Solar LKS-6M-340W (17.6%) by nearly 3 percentage points, translating into measurably higher energy yield per unit of roof area.
The manufacturer provides a 30-year linear power output warranty — 5 years longer than the 25-year standard offered by most Tier-1 suppliers (JA Solar, LONGi, Trina). While a 15-year product warranty is the industry norm, the option to extend it to 20 years through authorized Bruk-Bet installers provides an additional layer of investment protection.
The module withstands static front loads of 8,000 Pa and wind uplift of 5,400 Pa with as few as two mounting rails, as well as hail impact from a ø 55 mm ball at 122 km/h. These figures exceed the standard IEC 61215 requirements (5,400 Pa / 2,400 Pa), making the series well-suited for demanding installation environments such as mountainous and coastal sites.
The use of ultra-thin, chemically tempered solar glass on both sides of the module enables full building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) applications — including roofing, facades, and canopies. The glass-glass laminate eliminates the moisture-susceptible rear EVA backsheet, extending service life under high-humidity conditions as validated by the Extreme Damp Heat test.
The Tarnów facility employs more than 20 quality control checkpoints, per-cell sorting prior to lamination, and Meyer Burger production equipment. European origin shortens the supply chain, eliminates exposure to EU anti-dumping duties, and facilitates access to European funding programs that give preference to EU-manufactured products.
In 2026, the market standard for residential and commercial installations is 420–440 Wp (e.g., LONGi Hi-MO 6, JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0). To achieve the same system capacity, NIVO EXTREME requires approximately 20–25% more modules than a contemporary 420 Wp panel, resulting in higher BoS costs for labor, wiring, and mounting structures.
According to the manufacturer, modules are produced against specific project orders, which implies longer lead times compared to panels held in distributor stock. This may pose a challenge in emergency replacement scenarios or projects with tight commissioning deadlines.
Bruk-Bet's nominal manufacturing capacity is approximately 120 MW/year (PV Magazine, 2017), a fraction of the output of Tier-1 Asian manufacturers (>10 GW/year). Bruk-Bet does not appear on BNEF Tier 1 module manufacturer lists, which may complicate project finance or leasing arrangements for systems above 100 kWp, where lenders typically require modules from recognized bankable manufacturers.
